And for good reason!
Two groups out of St. Louis have canceled an appearance by Chick-Fil-A president Dan Cathy because of the company's association with an anti-gay group.
Earlier this year, LGBT activists spoke out against the company when one of the chains in Philadelphia was involved with an event run by anti-gay group. Later, it was revealed that Chick-Fil-A founder Truett Cathy had started a marriage retreat that does not allow same-sex couple to attend its conferences.
Cathy was scheduled to speak at a March 18 event, but the group decided to cancel after the Missouri gay rights group PROMO brought the controversy to their attention and asked them to reconsider.
Chamber head Ellen Gale spoke of their decision to cancel, saying:
"We are a pro-diversity culture here and certainly don’t want to offend anyone. We didn't know anything about this when he was booked."
We're glad word is getting out there and shame on Chick-Fil-A for not sending out an apology.

WTF is that all about?!
Chick-Fil-A's name was removed from banner ads promoting February’s The Art of Marriage event, sponsored by the antigay Pennsylvania Family Institute.
On Tuesday, the company tweeted that it was “looking into the issue,” but has yet to give an official statement.
And this isn't the first time this has happened! In 2009, Chick-Fil-A supported, Focus on the Family, a group founded by Reverend James Dobson that endorses "reparative therapy programs" to turn gays straight and donated hundreds of thousands to support of antigay legislation.
Booo! Equality for all!

NOOOO!!
This is so not the news we want to hear!!
It has just been revealed that the restaurant Chick-Fil-A is sponsoring two marriage conferences in Pennsylvania that will be run by the state's most prominent anti-gay, anti-equality group.
According to Change.org:
"The Pennsylvania Family Institute has been a leading opponent of marriage equality, and has condemned the expansion of civil rights for same-sex couples. Speaking to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the group's president, Michael Geer, said that gay marriage is not moral, and should be put up for a vote rather than decided by courts or legislatures.
The only way that we can get the people to decide this issue is through the ballot box. Marriage as defined as between a man and a woman has proven to be the best for the health, education and welfare of children."
And apparently this is mild comparing to Geer's previous statements where he's refused to accept gays as equals.
These words are hateful and destructive.
Shame on you, Michael Geer and shame on Chick-Fil-A for supporting him!
