Boyfriend Of Reporter Shot On Live TV Gives Her Taylor Swift Tickets To A Child Abuse Survivor She Interviewed

So sad and inspiring.

This is so heartbreaking and touching at the same time.

In August, WDBJ7 reporter Alison Parker and photographer Adam Ward were tragically gunned down on live television, allegedly by a disgruntled former employee.

Following this devastating loss, the 24-year-old's boyfriend, station anchor Chris Hurst, still had a pair of tickets to Taylor Swift's Wednesday night 1989 Tour stop in Greensboro, North Carolina.

He had gotten the blonde beauty for their six-month anniversary. He remembered she was often mistaken for the pop princess when they were out together, saying:

"She got stopped often when out shopping from people saying she looked like Taylor; she had that red lip, classic thing that I loved."

After Alison's death, Chris admitted he wasn't sure if he should see the show alone, or invite one of her loved ones. But then he remembered a very special someone his lovely lady had met through work.

The late journalist had bonded with a young child neglect victim she interviewed for a station special called Childhood Lost. She called the girl Hope, instead of her real name, in order to protect her identity.

Chris decided to give the tickets to the survivor and her adoptive mother. On Thursday, he revealed that the two had a wonderful time at the concert, explaining:

"Behind the scenes, the wonderful people at K92 radio and Republic Records, Swift's label, worked for weeks to secure a meet and greet with her for Hope and her mother! I was texting with Hope's new mother throughout the night and she said the concert was awe-inspiring, just like Alison was."

He even took to Twitter to share a sweet snap of Hope and Taylor together. Take a look (below):

This is quite the macabre story.

Mary Lucas, a mother of two children in Nebraska City, Nebraska, was charged with child abuse on Friday afternoon after it came to light that she duct taped her children — boys ages 4 and 7 — to chairs and made them watch the film Mommie Dearest. What?!

The 28-year-old momma was apparently sick of the boys calling her "the meanest mommy," so she decided to literally force them to watch Joan Crawford's film representation of a mean mommy in the unsettling flick.

According to court docs, though, Lucas is adamant it wasn't her who duct taped her kids and forced them to watch what she termed "Hollywood's perfect representation of a mean mother."

Rather, Lucas argues, it was her boyfriend Glenn Oliver who ended up strapping down the little kids.

Court documents taken from a police officer's report:

According to police, Lorena Simpson tried to get her kids, who were in the backseat of her car, to stop fighting by slamming the breaks.

"That's a great example of good parenting," said no one ever.

However, her 12-year-old daughter was in the front seat at the time without a seatbelt on.

Needless to say, the daughter slammed her head into the windshield. Maybe next time check that your children are safely secured by a seat belt before rashly decelerating your car.

Lorena claims to have had no idea that anything was wrong until the police arrived three days later:

Adrian Peterson Avoids Jail Time After Striking Up A Plea Deal In Child Abuse Scandal

Filed under: Icky Icky PooZportzLegal MattersViolenceFootballNFL

Adrian Peterson will not face any jail time for his child abuse scandal.

It looks like NFL running back Adrian Peterson will NOT have to worry about spending any time behind bars as he has struck up a plea agreement that will allow him to avoid jail completely.

The Minnesota Viking was originally indicted on felony charges of injuring a child after he used wooden "switch," or stick, to hit his 4-year-old son as a form of discipline, leaving him with cuts and bruises on his legs, buttocks, and testicles.

Despite some speculation that he might face possible jail time, Adrian and his legal team managed to put together a deal in which he pleaded no contest to much lesser misdemeanor charge of reckless assault.
