Damn, Chipotle can't escape controversy these days!

Following numerous scandals involving contaminated food and norovirus scares, the popular chain is facing backlash AGAIN due to a misleading ad about their chorizo burrito.

Three angry Los Angeles residents claim they were misled by a sign advertising the popular burrito as only "300 calories". The trio of customers all bought the dish under the false pretense of the burrito being healthy and low-calorie.

While we're a little confused as to why anyone would think an overstuffed burrito full of "perfectly grilled spicy chicken and pork sausage in a burrito with white rice, black beans, fresh tomato salsa, and a sprinkle of cheese" is a light treat, we guess these customers really took the chain's ad to heart.

Now the three pissed off consumers have filed a class-action lawsuit for the duress they experienced after chowing on a burrito that, as it turns out, contains roughly

There have been way too many health scares at popular Mexican food chain Chipotle lately, and it looks like things aren't getting any better.

A Chipotle restaurant in the Billerica, Massachusetts closed on Tuesday after one employee was diagnosed with a norovirus infection — and two more were suspected.

The chain is extremely cautious about the norovirus as it has caused two of the chain's food scares in the past few months.

Great news, Chipotle fanatics!

The Center for Disease Control announced Monday that the Mexican Grill's E. coli outbreak is over!

After 55 people were infected by the foodborne illness in 11 states, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service conducted investigations of the outbreak.

The chain shut down stores after the first outbreak, in which 21 of the infected customers were hospitalized.

An additional customer was hospitalized from a second smaller outbreak, which infected five people from three states. But neither outbreak had reports of death or hemolytic uremic syndrome — which can lead to kidney failure.

Chris Arnold, a spokesperson for the chain restaurant, said in a statement:

We certainly hope they wouldn't intentionally put people at risk…

Chipotle is one of the fastest growing fast food chains in America, but that progression may come to a halt if this lawsuit proves to have some truth behind it.

As we reported back in November, the Mexican grill was forced to shut down 43 of its stores in Oregon and Washington after experiencing an E.Coli outbreak that affected more than 20 people.

Then in December, 80 students at Boston College suffered gastrointestinal issues from the food, and now the chain is facing its biggest lawsuit yet.

That's because a new claim is alleging that the Simi Valley location linked to the very first norovirus outbreak back in August tried to fix the problem on their own before contacting public health officials!
