Uh oh! We hope this doesn't end with jail time for anybody!
Yet, Chris and Jacqueline Laurita of Real Housewives of New Jersey might get in some huge trouble for owing a pretty penny to their legal team.
Lawyers who represented the couple during their business bankruptcy case claim they are owed about $290K!
That's a lot!
The Lauritas clothing firm, Signature Apparel, filed for bankruptcy in 2009, although the couple have denied any wrongdoing in the case. They are, however, accused of using Signature Apparel bank accounts to fund their own lavish lifestyles.
The Hasbrouck Heights law firm of Seidman & Pincus had been representing the couple since 2014, after the previous lawyer withdrew from the case.
The law firm claims that it has been "completely unsuccessful" in its attempts to collect their due from the Lauritas. They also maintain that continuing to represent the couple without getting paid would topple the small firm, which only has about four full-time lawyers.
Poor little law firm! Chris and Jacqueline better pay up!
