It's going to be a whole NEW kind of Jersey Shore when the reality series returns for its sixth season!

With Snooki pregnant and no longer living inside the Shore House, The Situation sober after battling an addiction to painkillers, and the rest of the castmembers taking steps out of extended adolescence into adulthood, MTV's Executive VP of Programming Chris Linn reveals that the rumored-final GTL session with our beloved guidos and guidettes will be a 'different' kind of entertainment than what we've come to expect!

It's official!

The fourth season of Jersey Shore may be its swan song, but that by no means means that we'll be saying good-bye to our beloved guidos and guidettes! MTV announced today that it has officially greenlit two spin-offs from the reality series, featuring the likes of DJ Pauly D, JWoww, and our most beloved Snooki Snickers!

In the first spin-off, Snooks and Jenni will take their next steps together as roomates in a post-Jersey Shore world, while in the other, Pauly D will take cameras on the road with he and his friends from Rhode Island traveling to various DJing gigs!

VEEP of programming and production head Chris Linn says:

"The 'Jersey Shore' cast is at the center of the show's ongoing success. We're excited to put the spotlight on their lives away from the shore as they pursue their individual passions, careers and relationships. Both series are fun, fresh ways for us to evolve what is an already successful brand for us."

Production will begin this year, and both shows will have a 12 episode run in 2012.

So exciting!

We never want any of them to be off our television screens! Think about all the HIGHlarity that is going to ensue - especially with them!

Back in January, we heard that The Onion advice columnist/contributor Dan Savage, who was also a major part of the MTV special for the It Gets Better Project, was getting his own MTV pilot called Savage Love.

Now, we're hearing that Savage's MTV show has officially been given the green light, and it will now be called Savage U.

Here's what MTV's head of production Chris Linn had to say about it:

"I don’t think there are any networks talking to teenagers about how to navigate sex and modern relationships. There’s been a real leap forward in information online and the way teens communicate and Dan is somebody who brings real credibility.”

Congratulations, Dan!

As we said back in January, we're excited to see what Mr. Savage will do with his own show.
