Woah, there's A LOT to dissect here!
In a disastrous, uncomfortable, and unintentionally hilarious discussion with Michael Che and Colin Jost, Chris Matthews managed to offend and amaze in a matter of minutes. While we don't know exactly know what was going on with the MSNBC host, one thing is clear… he REALLY went there this time!

Here's a brief recap of the chat that was SUPPOSED to be about politics — Mr. Matthews flat out asked Che who the "funniest black guy" is in addition to accidentally implying that Bill Cosby is dead. The host also went on to ask the guys what hotel they're staying at during the RNC convention because WHY NOT.
Check out the cringeworthy talk (below)!

We're so sick of this vile man.
Donald Trump must have been real jealous that his campaign manager Corey Lewandoswki was stealing all his negative press, because he certainly outdid himself with his latest controversy!
As you're probably aware, the Republican Town Hall is scheduled to air later tonight — but in an effort to keep anything seriously scandalous from happening, MSNBC decided to pre-tape the event.

Well, that clearly didn't stop the Donald from making an ass of himself, because he flat out said he believes "there has to be some form of punishment" for women who get abortions!
Is this guy serious…?
Pundit Chris Matthews asked the GOP front-runner what his stance on abortion would be as President if it were in fact illegal, and Trump did not pretend to hide his sexism while giving a list of nonsensical answers, saying:

Brian Williams was infamously put on suspension from NBC Nightly News back in February 2015 after he was caught in a lie about an emergency helicopter landing that never really happened.
And while Allison Williams' father has been serving at MSNBC's daytime desk since September, he'll finally be getting back to primetime this February.

The news network announced today that Brian will be joining Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, Andrea Mitchell, and Chuck Todd to co-anchor their overage of the Iowa Caucus starting next Monday!
Part of us feels a little bad for Brian since he seems to have embellished his story to please his higher-ups. But then again, this does make him far less trustworthy as a newsman. What do YOU think??
Does Brian Williams Deserve A Second Chance?
- Yes, he apologized and learned from his mistake. (68%)
- No! How could I ever trust him?? (32%)

Hardball with Chris Matthews is going to very interesting tonight!
The brother of the MSNBC personality, James R. Matthews, has been arrested on charges of perjury.
First of all, we were shocked to learn that Chris's brother is in fact a Republican. Not only that, he is Republican commissioner of Pennsylvania's Montgomery County! James lost his reelection bid for the position and is poised to step down in just a few weeks, but now, his good name has been smeared from probably ever running again. A local Pennsylvania paper called the Norristown Times Herald broke a story yesterday they are dubbing "breakfastgate." (Of course!) They revealed that James lied under oath during a state investigation into his alleged personal meetings with another local politician to dicuss county business over, you guessed it, a short stack and sunny side up eggs.

As we mentioned earlier this week, Aaron Sorkin's working on TV show about and now there's more deets!
The screenwriter said in an interview with BBC:
"I love television, and I’m going to be doing another television series as well, this time on HBO, and it’s going to take place behind-the-scenes at a nightly cable news show. It’s going to be happening soon. I’ve written the pilot episode and we’re casting it right now."
As for research, Sorkin's gone straight to the source, adding:
"I’ve spent some time at CNN…with Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, Fox News, I’ve spent some time being a fly on the wall at those shows…What the hope is, is that I can bring the same kind of idealism and romanticism that made government seem sexy on The West Wing, and I can bring it to the news and journalism, which in America is held in at least as much contempt as government."

We didn't see this one coming.
Keith Olbermann's next gig could be writing a TV comedy project…with Aaron Sorkin?
Sorkin has had a pilot script in the works about a cable news show and is in talks with Olbermann to get his input.
He reportedly spent time with Olbermann on set while writing the pilot as well as sitting in with Chris Matthews and Fox News.
This could actually work. And we'd still get a fresh new project with the Olbermann spin.
