If you didn't already know, the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro just so happen to be the most LGBT-inclusive games in the history of the sporting event.

The 35-year-old Duathlon runner has already had an amazing 2016 — he was the first trans individual to be featured in ESPN's Body Issue – but now he just got his very own Olympic Nike ad as well!

The 30-second spot features a narrator asking Chris about his undeniable courage, but the runner spoke even more about making the team off camera, saying:

Chris Mosier is making history… again!

Last year, the sports star became the first transgender individual to earn a spot on the US National Team of the gender he identifies with, rather than the one he was given at birth.

And now, the 35-year-old is the first out transgender athlete to be featured in ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue!

The duathlete — who competes in events that feature both running and biking legs — posed completely nude for the spread, bravely baring his body in these shots (above)!

In a sneak peek of the upcoming issue, the inspirational athlete told ESPN that he had wanted to be in this specific issue for over a year, explaining that he finally feels comfortable with his body:

"I think the reason I felt so inspired to do it is that I'm finally at a place where I feel very comfortable with my body. And as a trans person, being in a body that didn't really fit me for 29 years, now I feel very comfortable in my own skin."

Chris even admitted that before he transitioned, he viewed fitness as a way to be more connected to his body, and would put on muscle in certain places to feel more masculine.

He says that's why being featured in this spread is such a moving moment for him:

Chris Mosier Just Made History As The First Transgender Athlete To Make Their Identified Gender's USA National Team!

Chris Mosier just made history!

That's because after landing a spot on the USA National Duathlon Team on Saturday, Chris became the first transgender athlete to make it onto the team of the gender they identify; as opposed to the gender assigned when they were born.

The 35-year-old finished 37th out of 117 competitors, but only needed to be one of the top eight times for men aged 35-38 to make the team… and he did!

By the way, for those of you who are a little confused as to what a Duathalon is, it's a sporting event similar to a triathlon only it consists of running, cycling, and then another leg of running.

We think it's a little ridiculous that this is only the first time something like this has ever happened, but we're glad Chris has now opened the door for his fellow trans athletes.

Chris and the rest of the USA Team will next compete at the 2016 World Championship Duathalon in Spain, so that just means he's got a little more time to train even harder.

Congrats again, Chris!

Now go win us the gold!
