Or at least she WILL be!
Just as Angelina Jolie will appear as the villainous Maleficent in a live-action re-telling of Sleeping Beauty, Cate Blanchett is currently in negotiations to take on the role of the evil stepmother in an updated version of Cinderella set to be produced by Disney.

What a disappointment!
Even though director Chris Weitz announced that there would be deleted scenes on the New Moon DVD, you may have noticed by now that they're missing!
"I'm basically a big, fat liar," tells Weitz. "I put it out there that there are deleted scenes, but I just realized there aren't. It was an honest mistake."
So why say something now that it's too late?
"I don't want to get Twilight fans banging down my door demanding deleted scenes."

Director Chris Weitz has said he's looking forward to seeing the third film in the Twilight series Eclipse, especially one scene in particular, explaining:
"I'm looking forward to the sleeping bag scene, I gotta say. that's going to be very steamy."
Chris is referring to the scene where Bella [Kristen Stewart] gets into a sleeping bag with Jacob [Taylor Lautner] while Edward [Robert Pattinson] watches.
Weitz also said he's anxious to see a particular scene with Elizabeth Reaser and Peter Facinelli, who play Edward's parents:
"I have a special interest in seeing Peter and Elizabeth tear people's heads off. Knowing them, and knowing how kooky and delightful they are, I'm going to find seeing them being ultra-violent very interesting indeed."
You know what we find interesting?
Any scene with R-Patz — we can't wait!!
