no title

Cate Blanchett has been a big supporter of #MeToo and #TimesUp.

But some have a hard time reconciling that with the fact she worked with Woody Allen, who was accused of molesting his daughter, Dylan Farrow.

During a new CNN interview, Christiane Amanpour asked the actress, who won the Best Actress Oscar for her work on Allen's 2013 film Blue Jasmine, how she reconciles "staying silent" about Woody.

Another News Shakeup: George Stephanopoulos Returns To This Week As Christiane Amanpour Returns To CNN

See if you can follow us.

George Stephanopoulos was once the anchor of This Week on ABC, but left the job to take the role of co-anchor on Good Morning America. The void was later filled by Christiane Amanpour last year, who left her post as CNN's chief international correspondent after 27 years.

The tables are now turning again as Christiane has decided to return to CNN, this time to host a new weekday show for CNN International. Rather than bring some newbie into the all too important role, George will be returning to This Week as of next year, to anchor the ABC news show. No worries though; there won’t be a vacancy at the Good Morning table. George will pull double duty, balancing hosting both programs.

Phew! That was a lot to get through!

It seems the change in lineup hasn’t taken a toll on the competing networks. In fact, both sides seem pretty happy with the deal, especially CNN. The network’s Worldwide President Jim Walton said in an e-mail message to CNN staff:

Christiane Amanpour Hassled In Egypt

Filed under: Icky Icky PooTV NewsPolitik

It's rough out there for a pimp reporter.

If you're a news syndicate who hasn't sent a reporter to Egypt to cover the riots, do yourselves a favor and don't! Things aren't going so well for the ones who've gone thus far.

First of all, there's the awful situation with Anderson Cooper. He's stuck right now in a building in Cairo unable to safely travel the streets.

Now, we've got video of Christiane Amanpour being hassled by a group of men for being American. Put simply, they "hate" her and wanted her to leave immediately.

We got very nervous watching this video. (above) We're just glad she cut when she did. Who knows how bad it could have gotten.
