Christina Grimmie's Fans React To The Slain Singer Being Left Out Of Emmys 'In Memoriam' Tribute!

Every award show has its fair share of snubs, and that includes the recently deceased stars who didn't make it into the "In Memoriam" segment.

At the 2016 Emmys, Christina Grimmie's fans noticed the late singer was not featured in the emotional tribute, which honored stars from the television screen to the worlds of sports and music.

Fans flocked to Twitter to make their disappointment known in regard to The Voice star not being mentioned among the legendary stars who passed away this year, including Gene Wilder, Garry Marshall, Muhammad Ali, Garry Shandling, Doris Roberts, and more.

Because The Voice earned a trophy for Best Reality Competition Show, fans were especially upset over Grimmie's absence — but this isn't the first time the 22-year-old has been left out of an award show since her tragic slaying this June.

In August, fans were upset that the singer wasn't mentioned at this year's Teen Choice Awards, and even started a petition for Fox to formally apologize to her family for "disrespecting" the late star.

Do YOU think Grimmie's fans have a right to be upset over her absence at the Emmys In Memoriam segment?

We still cannot believe she's gone.

While we'll never be able to see Christina Grimmie perform live again after she was mercilessly murdered outside of a concert in Orlando two months ago, at least her music will be able to live on.

The 22-year-old's family made the heartwrenching decision to posthumously debut her Side A EP music video series with fans last week, and we're happy to say Part Two of The Ballad of Jessica Blue is just as powerful.

This is such a sweet tribute to such a kind soul!

It's been two months since Christina Grimmie was senselessly shot dead outside of her Orlando concert, but luckily her fans are still getting new ways to remember their idol.

That's because the 22-year-old's family decided to posthumously release the music video for her new song Snow White on Thursday.

Apparently, Christina had filmed an entire visual EP entitled The Ballad of Jessica Blue shortly before her death, and the Grimmie family decided sharing the videos was the best way to honor their daughter.

While the song itself is just as catchy as the rest of The Voice finalist's discography, it's the accompanying storyline that really has us feeling extra emotional right now.

Plus, if you like what you see/hear, you can expect a new video from the series each and every week!

Christina Grimmie's Family Upset By Teen Choice Awards Snub

How heartbreaking for Christina Grimmie's family.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Christina's family is reportedly upset over the Teen Choice Awards' decision not to mention the slain singer ONCE during the two-hour long broadcast.

Related: Christina's Family Speaks Out 1 Month After Her Death

While the late celeb won a posthumous award for Choice Web Star: Music, the event opted to leave her out of the powerful tribute to victims of gun violence. It was a very confusing choice given Grimmie's VERY recent death and her huge fan base.

A source close to C.G.'s family complained:

"While we are glad that Christina finally won her much deserved Teen Choice Award, we are also definitely disappointed that her name was not mentioned at any point during the two-hour broadcas. It seems they could have paid honor or tribute to her in some way and that opportunity was missed. The fans have a right to be upset."

All fair points. It's especially frustrating considering they used Christina's name to PROMOTE the broadcast — the least they could have done was mention her name!

Following the snub, fans started a petition against Fox titled, "Request Teen Choice Awards & Fox formally apologize for disrespecting Christina Grimmie". As of now, the petition has about 1,000 signatures.

While the network has yet to respond to the backlash, we wouldn't be surprised if they issued a statement soon.

So, do YOU think Christina's family deserves an apology?
