Police Reports State Scientology Leader David Miscavige Hired Investigators To Spy On His Elderly Father So He Wouldn't Leak Negative Info!
More controversy surrounding the Church of Scientology.
It's been reported that Church leader David Miscavige was dropping $10,000 a week to spy on his elderly father Ronald Miscavige out of fear that he would leak negative information about Scientology's practices!
It's detailed in a police report which states that after Ron and his wife Becky left the church, David hired detectives to follow Ron around for 18 months. The report claims the detectives placed GPS tracking on Ron's car, photographed him, eavesdropped on his conversations, and searched through his trash!
The report came to light after police received a call about "suspicious activity" which led to the arrest of private investigator Dwayne Powell in 2013. Powell said to police that he and his 21-year-old son were hired full time by Miscavige, of the Church of Scientology, to follow his father. Detective Nicholas Pye wrote in the police report:
