Cincinnati Reds closer Aroldis Chapman is lucky to be alive after being struck in the head by a line drive going 100 mph!

The pitcher suffered facial fractures above his left eye last night when his pitch came back at him off the bat of KC Royals player Salvador Perez. He immediately fell to the mound, writhing in excruciating pain.

The Cincinnati Reds celebrated Cincinnati Ballet Day at Great American Ballpark this weekend, and they asked dancer Cervilio Miguel Amador to throw out the ceremonial first pitch!

As he stepped the the plate, the professional ballerino decided to literally put his own spin on things and pulled off the rarely seen double pirouette pitch!

First of all, this is pretty awesome! Secondly, why aren't more ballparks celebrating Ballet Day?!

Ryan Freel Committed Suicide With A Gunshot To The Head

This is so sad.

On Saturday, Cincinnati Reds star Ryan Freel killed himself in his Florida home with a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.

Freel's body was found Saturday afternoon, and as of now, medical examiners are making the final determination of his cause of death.

With his team and family mourning, they said:
