On Friday, were beyond thrilled to announce that the New York state Senate voted in favor of same-sex legislation, thanks to four Republican senators who joined with their Democratic counterparts to recognize the right of ALL New Yorkers to the protections and privileges that come with civil marriage.

This morning, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke up about NY's landmark decision in an address to State Department group Gays and Lesbians in Foreign Affairs Agencies. Here's what she had to say about it:
