You may have seen the late-night infomercials for WEN by Chaz Dean featuring stars like Brooke Shields, Alyssa Milano, and Angie Harmon praising the benefits of the 5-in-1 system.
Well, now two hundred women have joined a class-action lawsuit against the popular celebrity hair product line, claiming the cleansers have caused severe hair damage and hair loss.

Filed by the law firm of Christiansen Davis, the lawsuit alleges that the WEN products contain "active ingredients [that] act as a depilatory and caustic agent, either by causing a chemical reaction that damages the hair strand and/or follicle."
The lawsuit further alleges that the manufacturer knew about these complaints but refused to do anything about them, including removing the products from stores.
The women named in the lawsuit hail from 40 different states, with some of them filing the suit on behalf of their minor children.
Interestingly, online reviews dating back several years mention hair loss occurring after use of the products, which may result in more people joining the suit.
Some users also posted photo evidence (below) of their hair loss and bald spots on various websites.
