Waaaay back in December, we had heard that The Social Network's Armie Hammer had been cast as Leonardo DiCaprio/J. Edgar Hoover's gay love interest Clyde Tolson in Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar.

Now, Clint and Leo have opened up the film's 'gay' subject matter.

Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick has just signed on to Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar as Agent Smith, a "clean cut operative with writing skill" who is conscripted by Hoover to write his biography.

Well this political bio-pic just got a whole lot more HOMOlicious!

Clint Eastwood is currently developing a film on the controversial life of J. Edgar Hoover -which is set to star Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role - and The Social Network's Armie Hammer has just been cast as his GAY love interest!

According to reports, Hammer will play Clyde Tolson, the Associate Director of the FBI, which was founded by Hoover in 1935. Although it's never been proven, many have speculated that the two men were romantically involved.

HAWT!

Unfortunately, sources have claimed that the gents will not be consumating their love - at least on screen.

They reveal:

"There is just smooching, no bedroom scenes."

Good enough for us!

We LOVE both of these guys, so we're excited to see how this flick turns out!

Worst case scenario, it's still an excuse to watch Leo get his DUDE on!
