Hopefully the X Factor winner isn't partial to Coke!

It has JUST been announced that the winner of the X Factor competition will star in a Pepsi Super Bowl spot during February's Super Bowl XLVI!

Here's what Simon Cowell had to say about the newest prize for the X Factor winner:

Um… what?

Ayelo, a town in Spain, claims that they invented Coca-Cola in a 126-year-old liquor factory.

Said JuanJo Mica, fourth-generation operator of the liquor factory:

"My great-great uncle took his cola coca syrup to America that same year, 1884, and won a prize at a fair in Philadelphia. Supposedly, the Americans tried it, liked it and two years later their soft drink, Coca-Cola, was born."

Coca-Cola historian Phil Mooney begs to differ:

"We have had, at various points in time, claims from places like Scotland and India that the formula originated there. One of the great things about having a secret recipe is that these sorts of stories pop up periodically."

This one will likely remain a mystery!

Looks like Robert Rodriguez has found the star of his next movie! (Sorry Danny Trejo…)

Check out the photos (above, & below) of Charlie Sheen celebrating his termination from Two and a Half Men by wielding a machete on top of the Beverly Hills Live Nation office building, whilst drinking a bottle of Coca Cola Tiger Blood.

Scariest part? Here are a couple of excerpts from a phone conversation Charlie had with his media advisor Bob Maron:

"We need to hack up the person responsible for this bad connection. We need to hack him up into pieces in front of his children."

"We need to cut off his face and wear it and go on a very tightly-budgeted shopping spree in stores that don't exist yet."

It's pret-ty disturbing to us that the same guy who made these comments was photographed in possession of a sharp, lethal weapon.

…And is it just us, or are the peeps next to Charlie WAY too comfortable? He's wielding a machete AND drinking Tiger Blood!

Creeeepy!

This is huge!

Now that Simon Cowell is prepping the launch of the US version of his singing competition, The X Factor, two massive advertisers are currently duking it out over sponsorship of the series - Coca Cola and Pepsi!

Coca Cola, which has sponsoring American Idol for quite a long time, has one more year left on its contract with the FOX competition!

Meanwhile, Pepsi passed on sponsoring American Idol back in the day, and wants to make sure that this time, they don't make the same mistake twice!

The two are currently in the middle of a $50 - $100 million auction over its sponsorship, which means to the rest of us that regardless of who ends up with the deal, there are going to be some BIG BUCKS being spent to make sure the X Factor succeeds stateside!

We don't blame them!

Amidst a public scandal in which he cheated on his pregnant wife, Wayne Rooney is about to be dumped by his £600,000-a-year sponsor, Coca-Cola.

The brand is "horrified and bewildered" by allegations that Rooney slept with a prostitute. And if he loses Coke, we're sure there will be many to follow!

Nigel Currie of consultancy Brand Rapport, said:

"A lot of Rooney’s sponsors are pushing family-orientated products. The guys in the U.S. will not understand his behaviour and will want to get out of their contracts with him and move on. If this goes on for much longer, I would not be surprised if his sponsors say enough is enough."

The Coca-Cola spokesman in London said there was no change in the contract and added that "this is a private matter for Wayne Rooney and his family."

Ha. It's only a matter of time!
