Will.i.am Has Cheryl's Back During Stateside Move!

We love how dedicated he is to her stateside success!

She's so lucky to have such a good friend!

As Cheryl Cole makes her big transition from the UK to the United States, her frequent collaborator will.i.am is reportedly so excited to help her become a superstar over here that he not only threw her a welcome party to network with his contacts, but he's joined her management team!

A source explains:

"Will was keen to settle Cheryl in LA and put her in touch with some important people. He's filled her diary over the next few weeks so she has plenty to do. He hopes to improve her profile and ensure she doesn't get homesick."

So thoughtful!

We imagine that being out here almost full-time must be a pretty big shock to her system, so we can't commend him enough for being so conscientious of that while she gets settled!

Hang in there, gurl! You've got a lot of people rooting for your success!

More Details On Fiona Apple's New Music!

This just sounds like it's going to be unlike anything we've ever heard from her before, and that gets us SO EXCITED!

Fiona Apple is hard at work on her upcoming album, due out in 2011, and she and new collaborator Charley Drayton are opening up about the creative process for the singer's new sound, and how some of the music came to be produced!

She explains:

“He (Charley Drayton) is my partner now in music. We're working together producing my next album, and the way that I feel with him has influenced the way I write. I've written things that are a little more challenging for me to play and a little more challenging for me to sing because I know that he's going to be with me and that I'm going to get that feeling of focus and dedication to every single thing that I get when I'm around him.”

Amazing! It sounds like these two really push each other to excel creatively!

Drayton continues in more detail:

“A little over a year ago I did a gig with Fiona and [keyboardist] Dave Palmer, just a trio. For some time she'd been looking to perform her music in a different way than the original formula, which I believe may have been research toward a new path for ideas to flow musically. And during that phase I felt she'd soon find new territory to explore and create.

Not long after, she called and asked if I would listen to some new songs and ideas she'd been working on. The song treatments were piano and vocal only and on my first listen, I not only thought they were amazing, but also that they could have been released just as they were. I thought her fans would love that as well. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed to be one of the first to hear the body of work, although once I landed back on my feet, I realized the challenge in front of me.

Fiona expressed wanting to incorporate minimal instrumentation to the new material. She asked me how I would join rhythm to the pieces and if any ideas came to me, would I share them with her? She was already in producer mode.

A few weeks later I told her I had some ideas to investigate, so we went into the studio and it all began to unfold. In two weeks we'd pretty much built strong treatments for half of the songs. The feeling I had was like being on a great first date, one night after the next. She liked the character and space we were constructing. Eventually, I began to wonder when we would hit a bump, but some universal force left the path wide open for us to grow deeper into the journey.

At the end of two straight weeks, we looked at each other, exhausted but buzzing on something we'd never been on before, and she said she wanted to continue working on the project together.

Fiona and the material have exposed a much wider spectrum of my musical vocabulary, even to my surprise at times. Seldom does a musical experience reach my soul in the way Fiona's has. I'm blessed to have this chapter in my life."

Out. Of. Control.

Honestly, you can tell how enthusiastic they are about the new material, and that just makes US as equally worked up to hear it!

We didn't think she'd be able to surpass Extraordinary Machine, but something tells us this new stuff may put it to shame!

So exciting!

What do U think?? Are U ready for new Fiona Apple??

Robbie And Take That Talk Reunion, New Album, And Tour!

We cannot believe this is finally, actually happening! We cannot WAIT to see what they've produced!

Now that Robbie Williams has officially re-joined Take That after a 15 year hiatus, the band is putting the finishing touches on a new album and planning a 50-date tour that sounds effing AMAZEBALLS!

Robbie reveals:

“I get embarrassingly excited when the five of us are in a room. It feels like coming home.”

Bandmate Mark Owen agrees:

“Getting the five of us to be in a room together, although always a dream, never actually seemed like becoming a reality. Now the reality of the five of us making a record together feels like a dream. It’s been an absolute delight spending time with Rob again.”

The so-far-untitled record, which was produced by Madonna collaborator Stuart Price, is almost done, and the band is reportedly putting the finishing touches on the final tracks!

A source reveals:

“The boys spent hours reminiscing and listening to the new tracks. Everything is a joint decision on this album. They all wanted to be together to finalize the track listing before it was released to the world. They are really happy with it.”

They're also currently trying to secure the start of the tour at either the Wembley or O2 arena, and plan to have Robbie perform some of his solo work, followed by the other bandmates doing their individual music, before they all reunite for the classics and new, group material!

This is like the Spice Girls reunion all over again - but even better because there's a full CD of music instead of just two new tracks!

Amazeballs! It's so nice to see you all together again!
