Mayor Bloomberg Urges Obama & Romney To Speak On Gun Control

Filed under: Legal MattersPolitikBarack ObamaSad SadPerezTV

After the horrific Dark Knight killings where James Holmes shot 12 dead and injured 59 using a LEGALLY purchased AR-15 assault rifle, Remmington 12-guage shotgun and 2 40-caliber glock handguns, the nation-wide debate on gun control has re-ignited with a ferverence.

NYC Mayor Bloomberg, who is renowned for enforcing strict gun control laws, appeared on CBS' Face The Nation and called upon President Obama and Gov. Romney to publicly provide concrete plans of action in regards to gun control, rather than the generic, vague statements they've recently been issuing.

Check out Bloomberg's commendable request (above).

People may kill people, but it's a hell of a lot harder to kill people - especially a whole bunch of people - without a gun!

Just saying.

Ann Curry Returns To Today For The Weekend

Filed under: TV NewsFilm FlickersSad Sad

NBC News is pulling a 180 — but for a good reason.

Just weeks after Ann Curry took her final bow on The Today Show, the Peacock network has asked the anchor back to co-host along with Savannah Guthrie this weekend. You know, the same reporter who replaced her earlier this month.

However, any bitterness or malice over the decision to oust Ann has been rightfully pushed aside in light of the devastating shooting in Colorado. The ladies will work together for the next two days to bring extensive coverage on the events, traveling to Aurora, CO to provide "special coverage" of the shooting.

As you might've guessed, Matt Lauer will not be joining.

We wish it was under better circumstances that Ann was back on the NBC team, but bygones most certainly should be bygones now.

Clearly, there are worst things happening in the world.

We're just so thankful the police in Aurora acted as quickly as they did. Such immense gratitude the families and friends of the victims should have.
