They had no idea what they were in for!

On Monday night, Fox held events in New York and Los Angeles that were advertised as showing "first-look footage" of the upcoming comic book flick Deadpool.

But crowds were shocked when Ryan Reynolds himself showed up at the event in NY, while LA fans were surprised by Stan Lee, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld, and screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick!

And in a bold show of confidence, Fox showed the ENTIRE movie to all the lucky people in attendance!

For those that don't know, that's pretty much the opposite of what they did with critically panned Fantastic Four, which embargoed reviews until 24 hours before the release!

But with this movie, the studio even let fans go on Twitter to share their early reviews — and it was an unfinished version of the film! Talk about guts!

Too violent?!

Now that it's the new year, we've got plenty of new reasons to head to the movies, and the first one we're incredibly excited for is Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool!

Unfortunately, it sounds like not everyone will get to see the violent superhero flick; The Hollywood Reporter claims that the film will not be screening in China.

Apparently, the anti-hero movie, which is based on a Marvel comic book — but not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the character's film rights are owned by Fox — is a bit too violent, and has too much nudity and graphic language for China.

This almost makes us want to see it more…

Deadpool wouldn't be the first film that was denied screenings in the country as just last year horror film

Conan O'Brien's Special Batman v Superman Clip Is Pure Hate — But That's Not Why His Audience Is So Angry!

A lot of fans didn't care for the last full Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer — mostly because it seemed to show the titular battle ending in Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill palling around with Wonder Woman.

But during his Conan appearance Wednesday night, director Zack Snyder shared a clip (above) that shows the bad blood is TOTALLY real.

Warner Brothers is about to test the superhero waters in a BIG way with the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in March.

BvS is a HUGE gamble for the studio as it looks to set up the entire DC universe with a new Batman (Ben Affleck) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), as well as the first film appearances of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), and a few other rumored heroes.

They're the heroes Gotham deserves!

Batman is arguably the most iconic comic book character in all of TV and film history, so we think the fact that Tuesday marks the TV show's 50th anniversary is a pretty huge deal.

That's right — Batman, starring Adam West and Burt Ward as Robin got its start all the way back on January 12, 1966, and that's just the beginning of the DC Comics character's onscreen presence.

Hotties like George Clooney, Christian Bale, and Will Arnett have all portrayed the Caped Crusader recently, but we're personally most excited to see Ben Affleck's turn as Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman this March!

So just how many high-profile actors have actually taken flight as The Bat??
