Akira Film To Be Written By Daredevil Showrunner And Sons Of Anarchy Writing Alum! Get The Deets HERE!

Akira Movie Poster

It's about time!

It's being reported that Marco J. Ramirez, who is the co-showrunner for the second season of Daredevil on Netflix, and also wrote a couple episodes of the first season is going to be writing the long awaited adaptation of the manga classic, Akira.

It's also reported that Andrew Lazar, who most recently worked on American Sniper as well as Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way are producing the film!

The super popular manga comic, who's original run was in the '80s, follows two brothers who are in biker gangs set in a post-nuclear apocalypse of Neo-Tokyo. The brothers eventually find themselves rivals when one of them starts to abuse his newly developed telekinetic powers!

Warner Brothers has owned the rights to the comic since 2008 and it's almost come to fruition several times! Back in 2012, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, Ken Watanabe and Helena Bonham Carter were all in talks to to star as various roles with Jaume Collet-Serra as director before the film fell through due to script and budget issues.

Ramirez has a solid history of work that varies from writing episodes of Sons of Anarchy, Orange is the New Black, Daredevil and Da Vinci's Demons — the last two projects, he also helped produce.

Are you excited to hear Akira is a step closer to becoming a real deal or what?!

Season one of Daredevil was a big hit for Netflix, so in season two they're bringing out the big guns. Literally.

After three cinematic attempts, Marvel's gun-toting vigilante The Punisher will be hitting the small screen instead — and he's going to be hot!

The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal — wonderful but mostly wasted as the short-lived Shane — has signed on to play the fan favorite!

Frank Castle, a former Marine whose family was killed by the mob, will be setting up shop in Hell's Kitchen. And unlike Matt Murdock, he doesn't have a moral code against killing.

In the comics, he's one of the biggest horn-headaches Daredevil has. But we'll have to wait until 2016 to see how big a part he'll play in season two!

Bryan Singer Teases A Bit Of Storm's Look In Upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse! Ch-ch-check It Out HERE!

no title

We're diggin' it, Storm!

If you don't know by now, the next X-Men movie, titled X-Men: Apocalypse is already well underway with the same director, Bryan Singer.

[ Related: Tilda Swinton Joins Marvel's Doctor Strange As This Traditionally Male Character! ]

We don't know a whole lot about it, other than it's going to be set in the '80s, but we have gotten a look at Sophie Turner, peeks at some sets thanks to Singer, and we know that Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence will have a reunion.

Now we get another clue as to what the character Ororo Munroe, otherwise known by her mutant name as "Storm" played by actress Alexandra Shipp, might look like (picture below)! Storm was previously played by Halle Berry, but for the new movie, since it's set in the '80s, they looked to recast a bit younger to help give the franchise some room to grow in the future.

Some of the cast of the upcoming superhero flick went to the 2015 Grand Prix Montreal and looks like they had a blast! Singer took to Instagram to post a couple photos. One of those pics was of a couple of his ladies in the upcoming X-men movie.

Interestingly enough, you'll notice across from Sophie Turner, Shipp seems to have a new hairstyle…

Princess Leia

What kind of stuck up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder could keep this secret from Princess Leia!

Star Wars — a new comic book published by Marvel and signed off on by Disney — has revealed quite the shocking twist that is now canon to the Star Wars universe!

Han Solo actually has a wife who ISN'T Leia! OR Callista Flockhart!

We don't know a whole lot about her, but we do know her name is Sana Solo. Though we didn't know it at the time, she was first seen pursuing Han and Leia to a hidden planet in the Monsua Nebula in the Star Wars #5.

Though she stayed a mystery through that issue, she revealed her true identity in Wednesday's issue #6, when she flies her ship into a conversation between Han and Leia.

Han immediately recognizes the ship and tells Leia to run, but too late!

See the other Mrs. Harrison Ford make her grand entrance (below)!
