Anyone who suffered through the blowout that was Super Bowl XLVIII knows there wasn't really too much to get excited about!
Luckily, for those of us who found the game to be a total snoozer, the commercials more than lived up to the always high expectations!
But the real question is, what were the best Super Bowl commercials?? Well here's out list of our top 5 ads of the evening, starting with one that will definitely tug at your heart strings:
We’ve been loving all the Super Bowl commercials so far!
Our favorites are obviously the ones with A-Listers in them, like Jaguar’s Super Bowl XLVIII ad!
It stars Sir Ben Kingsley, Mark Strong and the oh-so-tasty Tom Hiddleston.
Three of the most talented, Britishest, evilest men to ever exist.
Well, they’re not evil, their characters just often are.
It’s all in the accent. Mmmm… that sweet, savory British accent.
These sexy Brits drive cars (or ‘autos’ as they say), ride in helicopters (or ‘helis as they say), and drink coffee (or ‘tea’ as they say). LOLz!
Wanna see their awesome commercial (or ‘advert’ as they say)?
Then check out the video (above) and give it a good viewing.
Most people tend to go with the dull and boring choice of eating their Oreos with a little bit of milk.
But if you ask us, the best way to eat them is with a nice tall glass of Tegan and Sara!
The insanely addicting cookies recently announced they would be unrolling a few new flavors including Cookie Dough and Marshmallow Crispy, and they've hired the rock n' roll sisters to help get their message across!
The cookie pushers at Oreos had their ad agency write up a jingle for the girls, and Tegan and Sara stepped up to the mic for a new ad that's set to air during the Grammys!
The indie rock goddesses aren't the first artists to lend their voices to the cookie company, as both Kacey Musgraves and Owl City have also recorded commercials for them in the past!
Seriously, this tune is almost as addicting to our ears as Oreos are to lab rats' taste buds!
Ch-ch-check out the jingle …AFTER THE JUMP!!!
Omg! Ha!! That is HIGHlarious!
This incredibllllly vocal dog was not afraid to let his owner know he disapproves of cats.
He hates cats so much, he can't even stand when they're on TV.
This pretty pooch was just laying down, watching TV when one of those "meow, meow, meow, meow" Friskies commercials came on.
The dog immediately began screaming in displeasure!!
He must reallllly hate that song!! LOLz!
What a cutie pie!
Check out the video (above) to see a dog making it clear he doesn't appreciate cats on his TV.
At this point, Tyler the Creator's name has essentially become synonymous with controversy.
The foul-mouthed rapper and his buddies from Odd Future have teamed up to put together an ad campaign for Mountain Dew, and the commercials are already being deemed both racist and sexist.
For some reason, we're not surprised considering both of those subjects seem to be common themes in his music.
The ads come in three parts, the first of which shows a goat beating on a female waitress after a Mountain Dew-enduced frenzy. But the clip that's drawing all of the criticism is the bizarre conclusion which shows the bruised and battered woman attempting to pick the culprit out of a police line-up.
The other suspects (who are played by Odd Future members) are all black, and while the attacker is an animal, he spits
While there might not be a lot of buzz around Jennifer Aniston and the products she endorses, people seem to still REALLY love her!
According to the Brand Passion Index, Jennifer ranked the highest in consumer love out of the 7 celebrities that were monitored. The others included: Beyonce, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Hudson, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Simpson, and William Shatner!
Seriously, Jennifer only generated around 2% of the buzz, but it was mostly positive! Her ex-hubby? Well… the news isn't so hot for him!
Brad got a lot of ridicule for his short-lived stint as Chanel No. 5’s celebrity, and had the second highest share of buzz with 32% of the overall chatter. The bad part is that he had the second lowest Net Sentiment score (-7) and a Passion Intensity of 44.
But who was the most disliked celebrity endorser??
We're shocked! It was JENNIFER HUDSON! She generated the lowest Net Sentiment score (-12) as well as the lowest Passion Intensity score (16) — people just feel smothered by how many Weight Watchers commercials there are, and are tired of it! Ouch!
Oh, and if you're wondering, Beyonce had the highest buzz! She just had middle-of-the-road love, though!
