Bottlenose dolphins are so crazy smart and cute we want to be friends with one!

We'd swim into the ocean and introduce ourselves, then, the craziest part is, they could introduce themselves to us: by telling us their name!!

Of course we'd only understand it if we spoke dolphinese but it's still a pretty cool fact.

A recent study published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B found that bottlenose dolphins have signature whistles and can use the signature whistles of other dolphins.

Here's what CEO Thierry Breton had to say about it in a statement:

Apparently they make such a high pitch noise, predators can't hear it, so they can secretly communicate.

Talking to a crush is NEVER easy, but communication needs to be established before any kind of meaningful relationship can follow.

FitPerez reader Melissa wrote to our relationship expert Dr. Karen Stewart for advice on approaching a cute guy in her class, asking:

"Dear Dr. Karen,

I am in college and I am totally in love with a guy in my class that sits a few rows in front of me. I have been staring at him for 3 weeks now and I said Hi to him once but I am so shy and scared to talk to him! How do I talk to him to tell him I like him and maybe even ask him out?"

Hi Melissa,

It can be quite intimidating to speak to someone you are attracted to, but, if you want to get to know them you have to speak up! Focus on the things you already know about him and what you’ve observed. Comment on an interesting lecture, a funny comment the professor made to break the ice. Does he wear a baseball cap with a sports team on it? Ask him if he is from that state or if that’s his favorite team. Does he carry something that is interesting-skateboard, for instance? Ask him where he rides, how long he has been riding, etc.

The bottom line is you have to open up communication with him because your fears are holding you back from a potential friend or more. After all, classes only last a certain amount of time so you have to act soon!
