DrinkSavvy is currently seeking funds on Indiegogo to produce a cup that changes appearance from clear to striped red when a drink has rape drugs present. It sucks these have to exist, but hey, we'll take cool scientific solutions to awful problems any day.

How do you feel about Verizon gettin' voyeur on all of your asses??

This is especially scary if you like watching TV in the nude — which we know that 80% of you do! LOLz!

Verizon has just put in a patent for a new DVR that WATCHES and LISTENS to what you're doing while you're watching TV, just to bring you customized ads. It uses a built-in camera, and the DVR would check that state of the people watching, and make changes to advertising based on that. So if you have 100 cats, prepare to watch a lot of Meow Mix ads.

Seriously though, this is so creepy. Specifically it's going to look for people singing, fighting, or cuddling (in the latter's case it would then show an ad for a contraceptive). This sounds awful.

This is a pretty big deal!

A federal judge has decided that tobacco companies will have to publish corrective statements saying that they lied about the dangers of smoking!

They'll have to basically run ads saying they're liars and that smoking is actually worse for you than they've previously let on.

Smoking kills 1,200 people a day! We'd be interested to see what spin they can try and put on that!

There is NO shame in the corporate world of greed. This is the most blatant abomination we've seen in a while, since the bonuses paid out during the bank bail-outs.

Hostess executives are going full-on super villain and requesting approval to hand out $1.8 million in bonuses to themselves… even though the company is in the process of liquidating and going under!

We all know how terrifying antibiotic-resistant bacteria is. There's just no good way of fighting it, and it can lead to some seriously horrible things. The worst part is that the mutated bacteria is super easy to pick up — even at hospitals.

Luckily, there's a company called Galapagos that is testing a new class of antibiotics that will combat this type of super bacteria!! Though, it's only a matter of time until the bacteria mutates even stronger, right…?
