Lindsay Lohan's Lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley PRAISED By Judge For Snatching Starlet "From The Precipice!"

The world has pretty much collectively agreed that it's a straight-up MIRACLE that Lindsay Lohan made it safely into the Betty Ford Center to begin her 90-day sentence in lockdown rehab before a warrant for her arrest was issued, and apparently, the judge handling her probation violation case, Jim Dabney, agrees!

So much so, in fact, that he told the woman who made it all possible, Shawn Chapman Holley, that she single-handedly SAVED her client from certain jail time!

As we all know, it was looking pretty grim for the troubled starlet when she ran away from the unlicensed-for-treatment Morningside Recovery facility the morning she was due to begin her stay, all while her lawyer at the time, Mark Heller, was in the courtroom lying through his teeth about how "ensconced" she was "in the bosom" of the facility! Luckily, LiLo was smart enough to call the attorney she fired and beg her to be taken back on as a client, which led to her making it back into Betty Ford and in compliance with the court by the skin of her teeth!

According to new reports, Judge Dabney was so impressed with Holley's quick maneuvering that he told her this morning:

Anne Hathaway Critics Choice Awards Best Supporting Actress

This could be the start of an award season sweep!

Anne Hathaway wowed audiences in Les Miserables, and now she is being wowed herself with the Critics' Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Anne managed to beat out the stiff competition that included Helen Hunt, Judi Dench, Ann Dowd, Sally Field and Amy Adams.

Plus, she charmed audiences by pointing out her name was misspelled on the winning envelope. Oops!

LOLz!

Funny and talented? We love it!

The Cops Want To Talk To Justin And Selenita Over May Paparazzo Scuffle!

justin-bieber-selena-gomez-police-interview-over-paparazzi-fight

Given the amount of unpleasant run-ins Justin Bieber has had with the paparrazzi this summer, we had almost forgotten about this one!

However, the police apparently haven't!

That's right, you may recall back in May when the pop star and his lady friend, Selena Gomez, got into a physical altercation with a pesky photographer who got in their faces after they left a movie at the Calabasas Commons, and although authorities were called, the pair had already taken off!

Well now

Lindsay MAY Avoid Jail Time Once Again! The Probation Department Has Got Her Back!

lindsay lohan might not be so guilty

We were NOT expecting to hear this.

Earlier this week, it was looking like Lindsay Lohan might end up going to jail for a year, but now we're hearing that the Probation Department won't try to get her behind bars.

Sources are saying that the Probation Dept will be submitting a written report to Lindsay' judge stating that she's in "'substantial compliance' with the terms of her probation." Wow.

Apparently, the department

$1 Billion Lawsuit Against YouTube Dismissed!

Score one for YouTube!

Yesterday, Judge Louis Stanton of the U.S. District Court of New York dismissed the $1 billion lawsuit from Viacom against Google and its video-sharing site, claiming that it complies with copyright laws upheld in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act!

Basically, Viacom wanted to be able to patrol YouTube themselves and tell users to take done video content that they owned, because they didn't think the internet service was doing it properly, and furthermore encouraging its users to continue to violate copyright laws. However, in Stanton's 30-page ruling, he essentially tells Viacom to eff off and asserts that YouTube is within compliance of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act!

We're sure there will be an appeal, so YouTube - keep being awesome!

What do U think?? Should Viacom's suit be dismissed??

Group Plans To Charge Pope With Crimes Against Humanity For Part In Church Sex Scandal!

Author and outspoken atheist, Richard Dawkins, has teamed with Christopher Hitchens and a group of lawyers who are determined to charge Pope Benedict XVI with crimes against humanity for his compliance in covering up sex abuse scandals in the Catholic Church!

He says:

"This is a man whose first instinct when his priests are caught with their pants down is to cover up the scandal and damn the young victims to silence."

So true. Absolutely disgusting.

He and his team believe that Benedict will not be able to use diplomatic immunity because he is not actually a head of state, at least by United Nations standards.

Wow. It will certainly be interesting to see how this all plays out.

What do U think?? Should the Pope face charges because of his past actions??
