Ryan Murphy Announces New Anthology Series Called Consent Inspired By The #MeToo Movement!

no title

Ryan Murphy is just getting started talking about #MeToo — in fact, he's currently putting together a new show inspired by the movement, tentatively titled… wait for it… Consent!

The prolific TV producer pitched the anthology series to The New Yorker in a recent profile, explaining that it would be set up in the model of Black Mirror and would explore a different case in each episode, starting with an insider's account of The Weinstein Company.

Murphy added that there would also be an episode about Kevin Spacey, and a case that dealt with a vague he-said-she-said encounter. The only problem? Murphy hasn't left FX just yet and his Netflix deal doesn't official kick in until July — so the platform Consent lands on is still up in the air.

The producer also opened up about the downfalls of the cast members of his show Glee, noting the "sad" stories of Cory Monteith's heroin overdose, Mark Salling's child porn charges and suicide, and Naya Rivera's domestic battery charges were all inevitable Hollywood tragedies.

He told the publication:

Molly Ringwald Reexamines John Hughes' 'Inappropriate' Writing & Her Old Films In The #MeToo Era

'The Breakfast Club' had some rough moments.

John Hughes captured the voice of a generation with his beloved '80s movies. But as many have pointed out since, the filmmaker's classics can be problematic when examined under a modern lens.

Even Molly Ringwald, Hughes' former collaborator and long-time muse, had trouble rewatching The Breakfast Club with her 10-year-old daughter in an effort to see how her old films held up with today's young generation.

Spoiler alert: between the creepy shot of her character Claire's underwear to the fact that Claire ends up with John Bender (Judd Nelson) after enduring nothing but verbal abuse, it was a hard watch.

The industry vet's issues were detailed an op-ed for the New Yorker, in which she admitted that while Hughes' writing contained a previously unseen sensitivity and angst, it "could also be considered racist, misogynistic, and, at times, homophobic."

Ringwald also dissected one scene from Sixteen Candles that joked about non-consensual sex. While the scene left a bad taste in her mouth, the actress who played the potentially violated character, interestingly enough, felt okay with it.

Read the illuminating piece HERE to find out why — and see what other classic films are much more disturbing in retrospect (below)!

Miley Cyrus Refuses To Be A Part Of Seventeen, But The Mag Covers Her Without Approval!

Find out why Miley Cyrus doesn't want to be a part of Seventeen magazine HERE!

Sure, Vogue didn’t want her — but nearly every other magazine does!!

Which allows Miley Cyrus to be very selective about which glossies she covers, and which she doesn’t.

Lately, the in-demand singer seems to be wanting to shed her youthful image more and more in favor of a fashion throne. She’s been quick to cover mags like W, Love, Cosmo, and Harper’s Bazaar, but has reportedly completely refused to be a part of Seventeen magazine in any way.

According to a source:

“She’s very, very selective when it comes to magazine covers. Miley declined Seventeen and denied being a part of it, completely.”

But Seventeen lurrrrves Smiles, and so do their readers!

So Miley’s apparent disdain for the magazine hasn’t stopped them from featuring her constantly in their publication — without her consent.

According to a Seventeen spokesperson:

First Amy Winehouse Track Off Of Her Posthumous Album Debuts! Check Out Like Smoke HERE!

So bittersweet.

As happy as we are to have new music from her, it's only that much more of a reminder that she'll never be able to make any more.

Check out the first song to debut from Amy Winehouse's upcoming posthumous album, Lioness: Hidden Treasures - which was compiled by producers Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson with the consent of the late singer's family - called Like Smoke, which also features fresh verses from Nas (above)!

Definitely sounds as though this one may have been recorded earlier in her career, during the Frank sessions, but her voice is as flawless and soulful as ever, and the rapping fits well with the tone of the track!

May Amy be at peace.

You're missed, gurl.

Courtney Stodden's Mom Says Her Son-In-Law Isn't Creepy!

courtney-stoddens-mom-says-her-son-in-law-isnt-creepy

Oh, lovely! Another Dina Lohan mom of the century in the making!

The world collectively shivered, and then gagged, when it was reported that 51-year-old Doug Hutchison married 16-going-on-meth-faced Courtney Stodden, which of course, is most creepy given the fact that her parents consented to what is essentially statutory rape!

But luckily, her mother Krista has opened up about the whole debacle, and wants the world to approve of the modern-day Romeo and Juliet, because she does!

She explains:
