florida keys judge overturns same sex marriage ban

Whoo! America's wang is one step closer to getting the gay loving it needs!

Thanks to a judge in the Key West, Florida's same sex ban has been overturned!

Monroe County Circuit Judge Luis Garcia ruled on Thursday that a gay couple must be allowed to wed, and will be issued licenses on Tuesday!

Aaron Huntsman and William Lee Jones, who have been together for over eleven years, sued for their right to a marriage license.

Judge Garcia's ruling flies in the face of Florida's 2008 Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, but unfortunately it only affects Monroe County- in other words, the Florida Keys.

Well, we all know how "just the tip" ends! Get ready for the future, Florida!

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Blames The Historical Error On Rolling Stone's Cover On, Who Else, Veep's Mike!

We founding father the historical mistake in Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Rolling Stone cover earlier? Can you spot it?!

Okay, so for all you who don't get excited reading the Federalist papers, or know your Bill of Rights from 1 to 10, the John Hancock tramp stamp on Julia's lower back is from the Declaration of Independence, whereas the text scrawled all over Julia's upper back is from the Constitution!

No, thank you, Schoolhouse Rock!

As you probably could've guessed, Julia responded to the error in the most Vice Presidential way possible…blaming someone else on Twitter:

Well, at least they tried?

We already told you 2 Chainz and his entourage were arrested after being involved in a nine-hour standoff with cops over their tour bus being searched when it was suspected marijuana was being used on board.

And if you thought the cray cray ended there, guess again!

While 2 Chainz's crew was not up for the bus being searched, it seems they turned to

Conservatives In DC Already Talking About Restoring DOMA?

Filed under: Gay Gay GayLegal MattersPolitik

doma

What a bunch of spoilsports…

On the heels of the Supreme Court overturning the Defense of Marriage Act, there's already talk that conservative representatives in Washington will try to restore DOMA! We'll wait until you finish yelling "whaaaa?" at your computer screen.

Representative Tim Huelskamp of Kansas said the following in response to today's verdict:

“My response to this will be later this week to file a federal marriage amendment."

Yeah, good luck with that, Tim! Oh, and just FYI, amendments to the Constitution began as a way to prevent the federal government from infringing on citizens' liberties, not as a way to get rid of hard earned freedoms. Meanwhile, thousands of Americans, of all sexual orientations, are celebrating this monumental victory at rallies across the country! Tim, we think you'll have better luck trying to file a noise complaint than a constitutional amendment.
