The trend began with dancers and others who often found themselves on a stage because it allowed them to be better visible to the audience. And now the trend has found its way to actresses on the red carpet who want to look especially good in strapless dresses.
According to makeup artist Laura Schierhorn, contouring one's clavicles can make you appear "lifted," and it also gives your exposed shoulders and upper body a nice glow.
Schierhorn recommends starting out by prepping the entire clavicle area with a body BB cream, like Prtty Peaushun, and a moisturizing body lotion. This will even out your skin tone and "enhance your color."
Next, use a highlighter a shade lighter than your natural complexion and apply it directly on the bone. Schierhorn says:
