Reports indicate that Republicans, down in Tampa for the GOP convention, have approved a platform that would ban abortion, ban gay marriage, and reshape Medicare into a voucher system while cutting taxes.

While the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2 Comic-Con panel isn’t until Thursday, fans are ALREADY lining up outside in San Diego!

Well, according to Comic-Con’s guidelines, no fans are allowed to line up outside Hall H — where the panel’s taking place — until the courtyard area outside is set up!

The early gathering of Twihards even prompted the convention to tweet the following:

ATTN: Citizens of Panem AKA nerds!!

The company that puts on fan conventions for Twilight, Supernatural, and Star Trek, have recently announced the very first Hunger Games convention!

The event has been creatively called “Creation Fan Convention: With Stars from The Hunger Games."

Chicago is the first, and so far only, city scheduled to hold the convention that will feature such stars as:

We know that people get pretty angry about this franchise, but this is terrible!

Twilight actor Bronson Pelletier, who plays Jared the werewolf, was BEATEN UP in the bathroom by a group of drunk men at the Eternal Twilight 4 fan convention in the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham, England!

The attackers, who were guests at a wedding reception also being held in the hotel, allegedly was left with a broken nose! Authorities apprehended the men, who were later released on bail.

A source explains:

"Bronson was really angry and upset… These guys were very nasty. They were so drunk they probably didn't even realize they were picking on a Hollywood actor. The convention was full of teenage girls and geeks desperate to see their Twilight heroes so no one expected this sort of trouble."

Poor thing!

We can't even imagine how this escalated to this degree! Hopefully those guys will get what's coming to them!

Like Wino to an open bar, nerds migrated South this weekend to the Star Wars convention in Orlando.

They main event of the weekend was the panel interview between Jon Stewart and the man himself, George Lucas. The Star Wars mastermind announced that the complete collection of movies would be released on Blu-Ray next year and in order to convince the mega-fans that it was worth the $$$, he revealed one of the SEVERAL never-before-seen deleted scenes from the franchise.

It's enough to make a nerd wet his Jabba The Hut panties.
