Chris Christie Signs Bill Banning Gay Conversion Therapy!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayLegal Matters

chris christie

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie gave his big, long John Hancock to a law banning gay conversion therapy on Monday!

That's right, Christie signed his approval to legislation that forbids therapists from trying to change the sexual orientations of minors! Good man!

Although the Republican Governor previously vetoed a bill that legalized same-sex marriages in the state last year, this is a huge step forward for those who rightly believe that you should be able to marry whoever you want!

Christie must be finally getting the notion that you can dot your "i"s, but you don't cross your LGBTs!

Sad news? New Jersey is only the second state in the nation, aside from California, that's passed the gay conversion ban!

Hurry up, Amurica! This is the land of the free, not home of the brainwashed!

James Cameron Talks Titanic 3D!

Wow. If we're getting THIS emotional just watching this video, we can only imagine how much of a wreck we'll be in theaters!

Check out the video (above) of James Cameron speaking about Titanic 3D, and doing a pret-ty good job of convincing us that he's put A LOT of care into this re-release.

We're not sure exactly how much money it costs them to convert this film into three dimensions, but we have a feeling we'll be spending AT LEAST that much on Kleenex when we see this!

And we definitely agree with James that choosing who U re-experience this movie with can affect it!

Should be quite an interesting viewing experience for all the grown-ups who saw the movie as kids, and have now found their own Jacks and Roses….

What do U think? Are U convinced that James Cameron has done the 3D conversion of Titanic right???

James Cameron Talks Titanic 3D!

Remember when people went to see Titanic multiple times? Like…8 times kind of multiple?

Well we wonder if this new generation of love struck kids will give the same response come April 6, 2012 when Titanic 3D hits theaters.

If they think Twilight is romantic, pshh…. then they have another thing coming!

And while we're all excited about the film's second cinematic release, 3D conversion hasn't been a fun process for mastermind James Cameron.

According to him, it's actually mind numbing!

The auteur painfully explains:

Oh We Just Can't Wait To Be 3D! The Lion King Returning To Theaters!

lion king returning to theaters in 3d

If they do it correctly, this could be cool!

Back in January, we were actually pretty excited to hear that The Lion King, amongst other Disney titles, will be re-released on Blu-ray 3D this fall. #1 reason that excites us - the stampede scene!

Now, we've learned that the movie will ALSO be re-released in theaters on Sept 16, in digital 3D!

Once again, we're pumped for that stampede scene! Should be simultaneously amazing AND terrifying on the big screen and in 3D!

Just don't half-ass this 3D conversion job, Disney! The Lion King is a classic, so let's do it justice, okay?

Will U go see The Lion King in 3D in theaters???

James Cameron Puts 3D Movies (That Aren't Made By Him) On Blast!

Silly filmmakers!

Don't you know that 3D movies only work if James Cameron is making them?!

LOLz!

The director has recently once again spoken out against the technology being used in the filmmaking process, specifically if it's being converted in post-production.

He explains:

"I maintain you can't do a good conversion of a two-hour movie with high quality in a few weeks like they tried to do with Clash Of The Titans. I don't mean to throw that movie under the bus because my buddy Sam [Worthington, from Avatar] is in it, but I think everybody realized that this was a point at which people had gone too far. You see another stumble with the most recent Harry Potter movie from the same studio making the same mistake - except really getting spanked for it now because they didn't get the film done. They announced it in 3D - threw a bunch of money trying to convert it to 3D in post-production and it simply didn't work. They just didn't get it done. Post-conversion should be used for one thing and one thing only - which is to take library titles that are favourites that are proven, and convert them into 3D - whether it's Jaws or ET or Indiana Jones, Close Encounters… or Titanic."

Titanic, huh? How convenient!

This guy can be a real piece of work, and we don't COMPLETELY agree with the reasoning behind his thought-process, but we do have to say that he makes some good points!

Especially regarding Harry Potter! The movie looks amazing as is, and doing a hack 3D job last minute could have seriously hindered the quality of the movie-going experience!

Let's hope that productions use a little more restraint when deciding what gets converted, instead of focusing on how to bump up the price of the ticket!

What do U think?? Do U agree with Cameron??

Harry Potter Coming To 3D Blu-Ray!!!

harry potter coming to 3d blu ray soon

The only thing better than seeing DanRad in crystal-clear perfect quality is to see him flying around your living room during a 3D game of quidditch!

Warner Bros is currently working on bringing the Harry Potter series to 3D blu-ray, starting with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

They've begun work on the Half-Blood Prince conversion to 3D, and we're glad to hear that they intend on doing it right, instead of rushing through the process, like they did with the infamous 3-Disaster Clash of the Titans.

No word yet on specific time frames for when these 3D conversions will be released, especially for earlier Harry Potter titles, but we're glad to hear they're on their way.

Should be inneresting to see if they decide to re-release the 3D Harry Potter films in theaters, like what Fox is doing with the Star Wars series.

Are U excited for 3D Harry Potter to make its way into your home?
