Prosecutors Are Appealing Making A Murderer Star Brendan Dassey's Overturned Conviction!

And the saga continues…

As we reported last month, a federal judge overturned Brendan Dassey's conviction claiming his coerced confession violated his Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment rights. Because of this, the 26-year-old will leave jail in November.

As seen on Making A Murderer, the Wisconsin-native — along with uncle Steven Avery — were charged with the rape and murder of Teresa Haibach.

However, the Netflix star just faced another obstacle in his journey to freedom.

On Friday, the state of Wisconsin is appealing Dassey's overturned conviction. According to Attorney General Brad Schimel:

"We believe the magistrate judge's decision that Brendan Dassey's confession was coerced by investigators, and that no reasonable court could have concluded otherwise, is wrong on the facts and wrong on the law… Two state courts carefully examined the evidence and properly concluded that Brendan Dassey's confession to sexually assaulting and murdering Teresa Halbach with his uncle, Steven Avery, was voluntary, and the investigators did not use constitutionally impermissible tactics."

Regardless of whether he is truly guilty or not, Brendan is going to face another uphill battle.

Let's hope no judge seriously considers this argument…

Jared Fogle is once again challenging his 15-year prison sentence, alleging that the judge who handed it down punished the former Subway pitch man in part for thoughts, rather than actions.

Listen: Jared Admits To Having Sex With Children

The basis of Fogle's challenge, where he alleges that he shouldn't be punished for things he thought and fantasized about and yet didn't act upon, seems to rest upon one specific area of the judge's decision from last year.

The judge said at the time:

We've got good news and bad news…

The good news is that Hayley Atwell isn't about to be off the ABC lineup anytime soon!

The bad news, however, is that she probably won't be on it as part of Agent Carter.

Video: Agent Carter Vs. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Lip Sync Battle

That's because it was announced on Wednesday that the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off star has landed a new pilot on the network called Conviction, where she'll once again be the lead.

While that doesn't necessarily mean Agent Carter has been officially cancelled, we can't see a future with Hayley toplining two completely different shows on the same channel.

But just in case you weren't already torn apart by the news… Hayley's new character will also be named Carter.

That's harsh, ABC.

Do U think Agent Carter could still get a third season renewal now??
