Cirque Du Soleil Is Suing Justin Timberlake For Ripping Off Their Music — Yes, MUSIC!

Fun Fact: Apparently Cirque du Soleil makes music.

Did anyone know Cirque du Soleil even made music?! Well, Justin Timberlake sure does!

On Thursday, the popular circus sued the soulful singer for copyright infringement, claiming a track off the artist's 20/20 album sampled one of their songs without permission!

We're a little confused as to why this complaint is just getting filed now, since that album dropped back in 2013, but we digress.

The Canadian company took their grievance to New York federal court, saying in the legal papers that JT's number Don't Hold the Wall sampled their tune Steel Dream, from their 1997 album QUIDAM.

Yes, album! Cirque du Soleil's actually released a BUNCH of records over the years, believe it or not!

But anyway, the entertainment corporation is suing the famous father, his producer Timbaland, and Sony Music Entertainment for $800,000 worth in damages!

Ch-ch-check out the two songs (below) and let us know in the comments if U think the circus is just trying to make a quick buck, or if this is a classic case of copyright!

Jeremy Scott & Moschino Will Go To Court For Copyright Infringement Against Graffiti Artist Rime

Jeremy Scott copyright lawsuit is going forward.

Bad news for Jeremy Scott.

Reports say a California District Court judge has given street artist Joseph Tierney, AKA Rime, the go-ahead to take his copyright lawsuit against the designer to the next level.

Tierney has accused Scott of copying his famous "Vandal Eyes" mural in Detroit and putting it on clothing from the Moschino A/W 2015 collection.

The dress accused of bearing Rime's art was worn by Gigi Hadid on the runway and by Katy Perry at the Met Gala in May. A blazer worn by Scott at the Met Ball also appeared to have elements of Rime's work.

In October 2015, Scott filed a declaration to strike Rime's complaint, stating that it was a graphic artist in the company's employ who selected that particular print for the clothing in question, and that Scott himself did not design it.

The motion to strike was denied, and the next court date is scheduled for May 23, 2016.

We'll keep you updated with new info as it becomes available.

One Direction's You & I Music Video Could Be A Complete Concept Rip Off!? Decide If The Boys Are Copycatting HERE!

anigif enhanced 14700 1397836459 25

One Direction displayed some AH-Mazing cloning effects in their newly premiered video for You & I, but now, it's being called a total rip off!!

Let us explain, faithful Directioners…

Australian production company OhYeahWow noted that the Ben Winston-directed vid looked a lot like another clip made for Australian band Clubfeet.

In a recent statement, the company claimed its similarities, while staying on 1D's good side by shedding compliments left and right:

"Late Friday night whilst we were busy observing the good traditions of the public holiday, something very suspicious was brought to our attention. It seems that the chaps of One Direction have taken it upon themselves to regurgitate our original concept, as seen in our award-winning clip for Clubfeet’s Everything You Wanted. Don’t get us wrong, we here at Oh Yeah Wow are big One Direction fans and are envious of their ability to maintain flawless hairdos. To be crystal clear, OYW has nothing against creative evolution. Artists constantly reinterpret other works that have inspired them and we’re fine with people taking a technique and using it to create something new…The wider problem is, that plagiarism and copycatting is becoming increasingly common and acceptable."

The band hasn't addressed the accusations of plagiarism—but with the internet a flutter, we're sure they'll have to soon!

Ch-ch-check out both videos and decide whether 1D ripped off the original idea…AFTER THE JUMP!!!
