We already knew that the mayor of Newark was the people's champion.

But it turns out that he's the canine champion, too!

Cory Booker was alerted by a news reporter that someone had left their dog outside in absolutely freezing weather.

Booker personally went down to where the dog was at, and held him for warmth until he was able to contact the owner.

He did and it was a good thing too! The owner had no idea his dog was outside!
