Here's what PETA said in a statement:

"Dogs are more than our best friends - as Mole demonstrated, they're our family members, our protectors, and our heroes. PETA hopes that Mole's tenacity and care will inspire anyone looking for a dog to head to an animal shelter - they're full of lovable, wonderful mutts just like Mole."

Sandy Hook Teacher Kaitlin Roig Saved 15 Students, Is A True American Hero!

If not for the quick-thinking and bravery of Kaitlin Roig, there is a very real possibility the unfathomable casualty count at Sandy Hook Elementary School last Friday could have been even higher.

When the shooting began, the lovely young first-grade teacher quickly ushered her 15 students into the classroom closet and urged them to be quiet.

In an interview chilling enough to make even the most world-weary cynic cry, Diane Sawyer discusses with Kaitlin (above) the unforgettable moments between when Adam Lanza fired his first gunshots and when the police arrived to safely lead her children outside.

This shooting was masterminded by one heinous villain, but, as details from this tragedy slowly come into focus, we're realizing Newtown, Connecticut is a community filled with dozens of astonishing heroes.

We honor the courage and selflessness of those teachers, administrators, first responders, and classmates who helped prevent even more parents from burying their children this week.

It's true, and Madonna's words were beautiful and they helped empower Ellen to be confident in who she was — to ignore the pangs of uncertainty of whether or not people were going to accept her. The important thing was that Ellen not deprive the world of who she truly was.

In this clip from Ellen's interview with Madonna, Madonna actually doesn't say a word — she just confirms everything that Ellen relays to the world.

We are moved. Are U?

P.S. We're sure nobody can boo her for saying these things!
