We're not sure what the need was, but we're pretty sure the crabs didn't like this experiment.

The Queen's University Belfast shocked a group of crabs to see if they experienced pain. As one (with common sense) would expect, the crabs wanted to avoid the shocks.

The message behind the experiments is a bit confusing…

No, we don't mean Dungeness.

New research has found that the trend of nether region deforestation, particularly bikini waxing, has made crabs, AKA pubic lice, nearly extinct!

Ian F. Burgess, a Cambridge medical entomologist explains:

"Pubic grooming has led to a severe depletion of crab louse populations. Add to that other aspects of body hair depilation, and you can see an environmental disaster in the making for this species."

That means their natural habitat of the hairy crotchal region is being destroyed and they have no place to live and procreate!

Yay!

Furthermore, the largest sexual health clinic in Australia reports that no cases of crabs have been found in women since 2008, and for men, cases have dropped about 80%.

So the next time your bikini wax appointment rolls around, go forth with a smile knowing that you're doing your part to rid the world of those nasty bloodsuckers!

There are some unique creatures, who can only found in the deepest parts of the ocean off the coast of Japan.

A fish with elbows, a crab large enough to straddle a car and some other crazy, cool, creepy creatures.

This is NOT the Carol Brady we know and love!

Florence Henderson admitted that she got crabs after having a one night stand with the mayor of New York at the time, John Lindsay.

In her new book Life is Not a Stage, she writes that she gave in to his advances when he put the moves on her over drinks at the Beverly Hills Hotel sometime during the 1960s. AND, both of them were married!

She continues, "I was lonely. I knew it wasn't the right thing to do. So, what did I do? I did it."

She then says that when she went home later that night, she awoke to "little black things" all over her bed and body!!

EWWWWW! So gross!

After an urgent call to her doctor, she was diagnosed with "pubic lice" and was sent a bouquet of flowers and a note of apology from the mayor.

Xanadu star Marty Thomas filed papers in NYC to reveal the person behind the salacious Twitter feed, bwayanonymous.

"Which Avenue Q cast member gave Marty Thomas crabs?" Tweeted bwayanonymous.

Of course, Thomas called the accusations "false" and "malicious" while denying the claim.

"I do not suffer from, nor have I ever suffered from a sexually transmitted disease," he wrote in the court papers. "Clearly, there is no doubt that other people in the Broadway community saw and were affected by the statement."

The anonymous Twitter feed has since been disabled, but not before a few parting words.

Bwayanonymous Tweeted:

"Before 'damages' even become relevant, you have to prove something was libelous or slanderous in nature. So if someone posts something that is actually true, or posts it in a way that doesn't assert it as a fact, then it isn't libel, or slander. It just means that you have to stop acting like a moron if people finding out about it damage your career."

Yikes!
