Last we heard about David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, Keira Knightley was in talks to replace Marion Cotillard as R-Patz's love interest in the film.

Now, it looks like another talented actress, Juliette Binoche, will be joining this film's increasingly awesome cast!

As a reminder for those of you who haven't been following all things Cronen-Patz, the film is based on a Don DeLillo novel, and the story is about "financial wunderkind" Eric Packer who "risks his entire fortune to bet against the yen on a tumultuous day." His actions also put his life at risk, in this film which takes place in a "slightly futuristic metropolis."

No word yet on what role Juliette will take on, but after her impressive performances in The English Patient and Krzysztof Kieslowski's Three Colors: Blue, we're thinking she'll be a wonderful addition to this film.

Way to maneuver yourself into the mainstream, Mr. Cronenberg! You've come a long way since your super bizarre film Naked Lunch.

According to recent reports, Keira Knightley MAY replace Marion Cotillard to star opposite Robert Pattinson in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis.

As we mentioned before, the film is based on a Don DeLillo novel, and the story is about "financial wunderkind" Eric Packer who "risks his entire fortune to bet against the yen on a tumultuous day." His actions also put his life at risk, in this film which takes place in a "slightly futuristic metropolis."

Knightley would star as Eric Packer/R-Patz's love interest in the film.

According to IMDB, Knightley is also starring in director Cronenberg's upcoming Sigmund Freud/Carl Jung film A Dangerous Method, so we're thinking there's a good chance she'll make her way into this film as well.

R-Patz has landed the lead role in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, based on the Don DeLillo novel.

He'll star as Eric Packer, a "financial wunderkind" who "risks his entire fortune to bet against the yen on a tumultuous day." His actions also put his life at risk, in this film which takes place in a "slightly futuristic metropolis."

Knowing Cronenberg's previous films, we're wondering if any of the following will happen to R-Patz in Cosmopolis:

- Will he have a naked fight scene, like Viggo Mortensen in Eastern Promises?

- Will he turn into a fly, like Jeff Goldlbum in The Fly?

- Will his head explode, like in Scanners?

Given some of the director's recent work, we're thinking this one MIGHT be a bit more low key, but we're def intrigued!
