Katie Holmes & Suri Cruise were seen trekking it in the deep south where they were visiting their hubby slash daddy Tom Cruise on the set of his currently-in-progress movie Oblivion.

Proving they aren't just city girls, the lovely mother-daughter combo traveled throughout Baton Rouge, Louisiana and looked like they were having one fantastic time!!!

In honor of Disney's brand new cruise ship Fantasy, Mariah Carey was invited to the ceremony this week in New York City, alongside husband Nick Cannon, to christen the luxury liner, and be named its official Fairy Godmother by Disney CEO Bob Iger, Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs, and of course, Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

Sounds like they're gonna have to up that amount if they're trying to avoid lawsuits!

To recap - earlier this month, we heard the VERY upsetting news that a cruise ship carrying 4,000+ people ran aground off the coast of Italy.

Then we heard that the ship's captain Francesco Schettino was being held in jail for abandoning ship…and were disgusted to hear that the despicable man was trying to claim that he ACCIDENTALLY abandoned the ship! Boo!

Now, we've learned that Costa Cruises is offering survivors of the cruise ship disaster a lump sum of $14,400 (11,000 euros) each in compensation, which is meant to cover the following:

Earlier today they halted the search for the remaining 16 people not accounted for from the Costa Concordia cruise ship wreck, citing weather and danger that the ship would sink the rest of the way.

We're glad to announce that searching has resumed for those remaining people, and we really really hope they find them!

So far, the cause has been cited as "human error" and if the reports of this are right:

Media reports out of Italy indicate Schettino swerved the ship — carrying 4,234 passengers and crew — four miles off-course to wave to a pal who was on land, before hitting a rock.

Then we'd say it was human stupidity and the captain should be punished for the deaths that he caused.

Idina Menzel and Bruce Vilanch are packing up their bathing suits and headed to the Caribbean.

Cruiseline Atlantis Events' has booked the two for their Allure of the Seas Cruise entertainment. Vilanch will host the onboard Comedy Club and Tony winner Menzel is set to join him.

Menzel recently graced us with her appearance on Glee and just wrapped her award winning work on Wicked.

Allure of the Seas is described as the most fabulous and extravagent gay cruise in history, aboard the biggest cruise ever built!!!

We know any Broadway babies on that ship will ADORE Menzel.
