Larry David Thinks Hamilton's Success Has Been Propelled By White People Trying To Be 'Hip'! See What He Said!

As usual, his enthusiasm is curbed.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's smash hit Hamilton is undoubtedly the biggest sensation on Broadway these days — setting a record number of Tony Awards nominations and even winning a Pulitzer prize!

But according to Larry David, the musical's success is less due to its accolades and more because of white people trying to be "hip."

On Tuesday's episode of the Mike Lucpica Show, the Curb Your Enthusiasm star admitted the hip-hop history show was "incredible" — but has a particular "theory on a lot of the people that are seeing it."

Larry David Doesn't Give A Sh*t If You Watch SNL — And He Makes Leslie Jones Freak Out In His Promos!

no title

Larry David knows that you might have better things to do on a Saturday night than watch a 40-year-old sketch comedy show.

So the Curb Your Enthusiasm star totally understands if you don't watch him host Saturday Night Live this week!

In the new promos, the comedian admits he "doesn't care" if people tune into this week's show! At least he's honest, right? LOLz!

But the Seinfeld creator did seem to care that Leslie Jones wasn't flirting with him like she did to other male hosts in the past — and really loses it when the cast member reveals she's "not feelin' it"!

The best part of the promo was when Jones cued up her own off-brand Curb Your Enthusiasm/Laser Cats(?) hybrid outro music — we hope they make an entire sketch revolved around that!

The Dawson's Creek Reunion Is HAPPENING…Kind Of! Maybe?!

busy-phillips-to-appear-dont-trust-the-b-in-apartment-23

Frankly, this isn't what we wanted or pictured at all, but we'll take what we can get at this point!

While Michelle Williams has hinted that she may appear on former Dawson's Creek co-star Busy Philipps' new show, Cougar Town, it's good ole' Audrey that will be making the mini-reunion happen first!

That's right, Busy will be appearing as HERSELF alongside Dawson AKA James Van Der Beek, in the season premiere of his comedy Don't Trust The B*tch in Apartment 23 when it comes back for its second season this fall!

But here's where it gets potentially very INTERESTING…

The entire plot of the episode is about James' fictional alter-ego attempting to ACTUALLY get a Dawson's Creek reunion, so

Oh gosh.

We can't handle things like this… way too awkward! It's like watching anything on Curb Your Enthusiasm — it's borderline torture.

Though, the dude's commentary did crack us up!

Sorry, Cyndi!

Curb Your Enthusiasm Should Show Enthusiasm Because Of High Ratings

Curb Gets Big Ratings

Larry, it looks like the move to NYC is doing you some good!

The second episode of the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm enjoyed a 12% jump in ratings from the season premier last week, earning the show it's highest watched episode since 2004!

That's impressive to find those kinds of numbers again 7 years later! That is quite something, and everyone involved should be incredibly proud.

It took in 1.9 million viewers at 10pm, and combined with its 12am showing it sat pretty at 2.5 million.

Congrats!
