Lance Armstrong probably just breathed a sigh of relief for the first time in a very long time.

An attorney who was overseeing the federal investigation into Lance said that his public admission that he used performance-enhancing drugs doesn't change anything.

He said:

If you read Lance Armstrong's books and were inspired by the true-story accounts, we bet you're feeling pretty foolish right now. He lied, and those books should totally be moved to the fiction section of the library!

We held out and gave Lance the benefit of the doubt for quite some time, but there comes a point when you can no longer do that. With last week's flood of evidence, that point has already come for us.

Officially, that time has now come for the Tour de France too, as Lance has just been officially stripped of his seven titles by the International Cycling Union.

Lance Armstrong is really hoping the USADA is going to release all of their evidence in the report due out this week, but that might not happen.

Regardless, what WILL happen after whatever they choose to unleash is unleashed?

We'd say he should be entitled to it — especially if they've taken away everything he's ever earned.

Call it a common courtesy.

Lance Armstrong and his lawyer are criticizing how the USADA went about his doping case, saying the agency should send the International Cycling Union ALL of its evidence in the Armstrong case, not just a limited report packaged to support the sanctions.

Who wouldn't think that's fair??
