UPDATE 10:30 A.M. EST: CNN has since reported that 12 police officers and two civilians were shot during a standoff with a sniper in Dallas on Thursday evening. Not to mention, Police Chief David Brown has since confirmed that the unidentified suspect acted alone and was killed by a bomb which was detonated by the authorities. In a recent statement, Brown noted:

Following the suspect's death, the police swept the area and reportedly found no sign of the sniper's alleged explosives.
