Chevy Chase just does NOT know when to shut his mouth, does he?!

The veteran comedian has made no secret of his general disdain for Community, the NBC comedy on which he portrays the character Pierce, but despite his angry tirade against series creator Dan Harmon - which may or may not have led to his firing as showrunner - and subsequent comments that the show was the "lowest form of television," he has managed to out-do himself in the OFFENSIVE department this time around!

Is Chevy Chase turning into an angry old man?

The 67-year-old actor famously chewed out Community's former showrunner, Dan Harmon, last spring and even though he's back for season four, he's continuing to bash the NBC comedy!

In a recent interview, he described his decision to take on the role of Piers Hawthorne as "a big mistake" and insinuates that he's only sticking around for the pay check. He continues to explain since sitcoms, like his own, are "probably the lowest form of television", he can't wait to get back into movies.

Community's ex-showrunner Dan Harmon may have the last laugh yet!

At the end of last season, NBC fired Dan from his own show. No one (other than Chevy Chase) was happy about the boss leaving the sitcom (especially Dan).

But now things are turning around for Danny boy!

Dan Harmon might be out of a lucrative job running one of the most HIGHlarious shows on TV, but at least he isn't out of friends!

Joel McHale spoke from the Community panel at Comic-Con on Friday morning and he kept coming back to how much he missed the big guy!

Unlike Chevy Chase and the NBC execs who made the call, Joel never wanted Dan to leave.

Chevy Chase is returning to Greendale Community College!!

It's been a rocky spring for Community, but all might end well for the HIGHlarious sitcom after all.

Chase took a bunch of public shots at series creator Dan Harmon a few months ago and NBC eventually brought in new show runners.

This saddened and angered many of the show's stars, including Joel McHale!

For awhile it seemed NBC had its fill of Mizter Chase, too!

In one interview, the Three Amigos star copped to seeing the writing on the wall. He said:

“I probably won’t be around that much longer.”

Thankfully, however, the network will pick up ALL the options on the show's actors, even Chevy's.

It sounds like the aging comedian is a pain to work with… but we LOVE this show and he's an important part of it!!

Everyone (except for Chevy Chase) is sad!

Over the weekend Community creator / showrunner / dream weaver Dan Harmon confirmed he had been fired from the show.

Community cast members took to twitter to express their disappointment with NBC/Sony's decision.

Well, one thing is for certain!

Community castmembers OTHER than Chevy Chase are bummed about creator Dan Harmon's abrupt firing from the series!

According to Jim Rash, who plays the Dean on the NBC comedy, the decision not renew Harmon's contract was out of their hands, and they "couldn't love him more!"

Of course, he also stated that the very public fued with Chevy Chase
