After coming out of the closet, Zachary Quinto has garnered a lot of attention for his act of courage.

The actor, who we'll see soon on American Horror Story, made the decision after Jamey Rodemeyer committed suicide. And he's already inspiring others to feel better about their sexuality, including ABC news anchor Dan Kloeffler!

Zachary knew he wanted to do some good with his coming out, but he's blown away by all of the support. In a recent statement, he lovingly says:

Dan, who is an ABC News anchor, was inspired by Zachary Quinto's nonchalant reveal and decided to do so himself as well!

Because WNN is a show where you can offer some personality, I had a little fun with the story saying that I would drop my rule against dating actors.

I’ve never shared that I’m gay on-air, even though I’ve been out to my family, friends and co-workers for years. In fact, an old boyfriend – now best friend – has always given me a hard time about not doing so. But for the same reason that Zach decided to come out, I too, no longer wanted to hide this part of my life.

We LOVE this trend! It'd be amazing if more public figures came out in this manner — and came out at all!

It sets such a positive example for the struggling LGBT youth!
