LiLo Could Slow Down Case With Good Friday Excuse!

Lindsay Lohan Good Friday

Lindsay Lohan wants the judge to cancel this Friday's hearing because it's Good Friday, and she wants to observe it!

Doing so would probably push the date back to sometime next month.

Everyone has thought about postponing it, though:

The postponement request was discussed last week during the meeting between Lindsay's high powered attorney Shawn Holley, Judge Stephanie Sautner and Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers.

While all involved agreed in principle, it's not a done deal.

"The DA wants Lindsay's lawyer to formally file the motion to continue the preliminary hearing," the source said.

Is it just us, or does this sound like just a convenient way to delay the inevitable?? (The inevitable being the case, not that we're assuming an outcome!)

We're willing to bet that it'll be granted. We guess we'll just have to wait to figure things out for a while longer! Bummer!

Linds! Spend that time prepping your case! We don't wanna see you getting into any shenanigans!

Lindsay's History Of Theft Is Going To Come Back And Bite Her In The Ass!

Like we've said since day one, we really do hope that she takes this plea deal!

With merely days away before Lindsay Lohan decides whether or not to take her felony grand theft case to trial or not, sources close to the case have revealed that if the formerly hard-pAArtying starlet does, Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers will be using her history of taking things that aren't hers - remember that rolex and mink coat? - as evidence that she has no problem stealing!

The insider explains:

"There is very damaging information about Lindsay's past evidence of thefts, including a stolen Rolex, which a friend of hers reported as stolen last April 2010, which will be made public if Lindsay doesn't take the plea deal. Lindsay was investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department last spring after a friend reported that after leaving the Rolex at Lohan's apartment, it wasn't returned immediately. Actually, it was quite a bit of time later that the watch was returned to the person. The watch was valued at a whopping, 35k, and like the current theft case, Lindsay was photographed wearing the watch. Lindsay wasn't charged in that case because the victim became uncooperative as soon as the watch was returned. The D.A. will be sending investigators out from the office to talk to the victim. Meyers wants to know if there was a financial pay off. It will absolutely be brought up either at the preliminary hearing or the trial. This will establish a pattern of behavior on, that Meyers will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Lindsay is guilty in this case. It doesn't matter that Lindsay wasn't criminally charged in those previous incidents. Meyers can, and will subpoena police that investigated those, and as well as the accusers if she needs to. Lindsay has major entitlement issues, which have led her down this very dark road. If Lindsay is smart, she will take the plea deal. Lindsay won't know what will hit her if the case proceeds to a preliminary hearing, and trial. Meyers is tough as nails, make no mistake about it. Lindsay truly has no idea how bad this could get, and how fast. This could truly ruin her career. Look at the Winona Ryder case, her career suffered after the guilty conviction, and she didn't have the criminal record that Lindsay has. [Claims that Lindsay's probation report could be very harmful to her in trial] That is just implicitly false. There is nothing bad in the report, period. It's a standard probation report. In fact, Lindsay's lawyer could use it as evidence if the case goes to the preliminary hearing, because it's actually good for her. It states that Lindsay is a good probationer. The probation report doesn't include any of the past theft incidents. The past theft incidents don't involve the probation department, Meyers is the only one dealing with the past theft incidents, period."

Uh-oh! Sounds like Meyers is NOT messing around!

Not that we anticpated that she would! Lady is probably effing TIRED of having to deal with LiLo's nonsense!

Time to just accept that jail is a reality, gurl, and cut your losses! This trial is NOT going to be pretty, and we have a feeling that if you try and take the case there, the only person who is going to end up burned is you!

What do U think?? Should LiLo take the plea deal?

It Ain't Over Yet! Lindsay To Be Granted A Continuance In Theft Case

Ugh! C'mon! Can't we just get this over with already! Why are we all just avoiding the inevitable?!

Just throw her in an orange jumpsuit and be done with it! (We kid, we kid…unless she really did steal in which case we don't, we don't)

Yesterday, Judge Keith Schwartz, Shawn Holley and Danette Meyers tried to strike a plea deal for Lindsay Lohan's felony theft case while meeting in chambers, but it was to no avail. According to sources, today, the Judge will grant Lindsay a continuance to mull over his FINAL offer, which absolutely includes jail time.

Girl is between a rock and a hard place now. We don't know how much jail time the judge is offering, but we assume it has to be in the same neighborhood as the previous deal from the D.A., which included 6 months. As someone who was adamant about not going to jail, now she might have no choice but to go, especially if they can prove she did it.

When asked about her hearing, Lindsay told sources:

"I am ready for court tomorrow, and I believe that the truth will prevail through all of this."

The truth always has a way of coming out, but whether that is really what you want or not remains to be seen.

Good luck!

Lindsay Refuses To Take Plea Deal With Jail Time

She will do anything to not go back to the big house!

Despite the fact that Lindsay Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Holley, is trying to negotiate a plea deal with prosecutor Danette Meyers, Lindsay has told those closest to her that no matter what, she is not going back to jail.

Even though the plea deal will most likely involve jail time, Lindsay wants to go to trial and waste taxpayers' money because she thinks the surveillance tape will show that she's not guilty.

Uhhh, we wouldn't bet on that, Linds. Just listen to your lawyer and maybe you can get a really light sentence. Remember what the judge said last time if you're guilty - you WILL be doing time so at least make it a short visit.

Lindsay Could Go To Jail Without A Trial!

Uh-oh, this could be a major setback for LiLo.

Sources say that Lindsay Lohan could go to jail for more than a year without even getting a trial!

In fact, the D.A. could drop the felony charges in the stolen necklace case and Linds could STILL go to jail!

Prosecutor Danette Meyers can cause some major trouble for Lindsay by going to court and telling the judge that Lindsay violated her DUI probation by stealing that necklace.

In a probation violation case, a jury isn't involved, so if the judge thinks there's a 50.1% chance that Lindsay could have stolen the necklace, she could be thrown in jail for more than a year.

And since the case would go back to Judge Elden Fox who brought the hammer down on Lindsay during her last probation violation case, things could could go from bad to worse.

Yikes!! Whether or not Lindsay stole that necklace, she deserves a fair trial, right??

What do U think??

LiLo's Prosecutor Willing To Lessen Charge If Stolen Necklace Really Is Overpriced

Operation "Keep LiLo Out Of The Clink" has reached phase three: Get felony charge reduced to misdemeanor.

Alright, so we assume most of you don't know how the legal system works, so let us give you a bit of lesson. Right now, Lindsay Lohan is poised to stand trial for a felony grand theft charge. The reason her charge is considered a "felony" is because the necklace she supposedly stole was valued at over $950. That's how the cookies crumble here in California. However, if the necklace in question was actually valued at a lesser price point, then Lindsay would be facing a misdemeanor charge, not a felony. Big difference!

We already know that LiLo's super lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, has already gotten several prominent jewelers to admit that the bling's really only worth between $800-$1,000, but now it seems you're a mean one Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers is willing to hear evidence to that affect. She told sources:

"If Shawn (Lindsay's lawyer) presents me with credible evidence of value, we will take a look at it. But based upon what's in front of us — what the store owner and designer said — the necklace is worth $2,500."

Uh-huh. Well, we are in a bad economy and the price of gold has gone up, so maybe the designer opted to inflate their price a bit. One things for sure, this should be Shawn's top priority right now. A misdemeanor is decidedly less damaging to LiLo's future than being found guilty of a felony.

Then again, she's innocent, right? So this is all a moot point anyway? Right? RIGHT?

Lindsay's Prosecutor REALLY Wants Her In Jail

lindsays prosecutor wants her to go to jail no matter what

Yesterday, we learned that Lindsay Lohan desperately wants a plea deal that does NOT involve jail time. Apparently, she's even willing to plead guilty, as long as she doesn't get put in jail.

Unfortunately for Lindz, her prosecutor Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers is insisting on jail time no matter WHAT.

Here's what a source had to say about it:

"Meyers is standing her ground and saying that any deal for Lindsay include jail time. This is a felony charge, and Lindsay has a criminal record. Meyers won't back down on this."

"Both sides are now at an impasse."

More from the source:

"Lindsay would be put on felony probation, and under those terms, Lindsay can be sentenced to up to one year in LA County Jail. With jail overcrowding, Lindsay would only serve 25% of the sentence."

And here's what another insider had to say:

"Lindsay will do anything to not go back to jail. She can't deal with jail again. If push comes to shove, Lindsay will go to trial on this case if a deal can't be reached."

Def sounds like she's gonna have to do some time…unless something SERIOUSLY miraculous happens.

Do U think jail time is inevitable for Lindsay?
