If you could even call it a set. He told one joke!!!

Dave Chappelle has come forward this morning in response to the backlash he's been getting from fans, critics and the like for his horrendous routine on Friday night. For those of you who don't know, Dave was in Miami for a charity benefit. Not long after he got onstage did he pick a fight with an audience member who was taping him. This led to an hour of rudeness on Dave's part as he fixated on this guy in the audience, refused to tell anymore jokes and basically just sat around checking text messages.

Uh-oh! Is someone heading toward another bizarre meltdown?!

Dave Chappalle baffled his audience during a 'stand-up' performance at Alonzo Mourning’s Summer Groove charity event in Miami last night, when he pretty much refused to tell jokes, yelled at fans for recording him, and spent the majority of the time checking his text messages!

According to CNN contributor Roland S. Martin:

“This Dave Chappelle set is bizarre. He’s spent more time going back & forth with one audience member, & pretty much stopped telling jokes."

“I’m just not understanding what threw him off. He’s complained about folks videotaping his set, yelling out loud. I don’t get it.”

“Chappelle says this is a ‘test of wills.’ He keeps saying ‘tick tock’ & he has ‘nothing but time.’ He’s just staring at the crowd & sighing.”

“He’s been on stage 46 minutes & told one joke.”

And as you can see from a video of the performance (above), he's eventually booed off the stage!

So strange!

Too bad!

Earlier today, we heard that Dave Chappelle was reportedly working on a new show for a "subscription entertainment service," such as Netflix or Sony's Crackle.

Looks like either the reports were false or shiz got too real and Dave changed his mind, because Chappelle's rep Carla Simms is saying that the show is not happening.

Given Dave's history of erratic behavior, nothing comes as a surprise to us with him. He may need some more time to himself before he's ready to commit to a show.

Do U think we'll see a new Dave Chappelle show sometime soon? Or do U think it's not gonna happen?

Well, this is a surprise!

Aside from that Starbucks photo taken back in February, we hadn't seen Dave Chappelle in a LONG time, but now it looks like we may see quite a bit more of him.

The former Chappelle's Show star is reportedly working on a new show for a "subscription entertainment service." No word yet on exactly which service, but Netflix or Sony's Crackle are strong possibilities.

Been a while, Dave!

Last we heard from Dave Chappelle, he freaked out and forced a private jet to land early while traveling from Ohio to New Jersey.

Looks like our experience with Mr. Chappelle will be more low key this time. In the photo (above) he's simply leaving a Starbucks in Malibu.

…Unless he freaked out in the Starbucks and caused them to finish brewing his coffee early. LOLz.

We're just kidding, Dave. It's good to see you again! We hope life after Hollywood has been treating you well!

It seems like Dave Chappelle still has a case of the crazies!

During a flight on a private jet headed to Ohio from New Jersey, the comedian "freaked out" and became unruly by refusing to put his seatbelt on and then repeatedly walked into the cockpit, asking how much longer the flight would be. At one point, he even grabbed the pilot's arms!

Sources say that the pilot decided to divert the plane to Pittsburgh after deeming Chappelle a "safety risk."

Once the plane landed, Chappelle checked into a nearby hotel, but became anxious and kept telling the hotel employees that he needed to rent a car to drive back to Ohio, but he couldn't remember where he lived.

The employees say they saw him wandering out of the hotel early Saturday morning.

A representative claims that Chappelle was having stomach problems and needed to use a proper bathroom, stating that the plane's facilities were "not the kind he needed."

Um…

We understand that airplane bathrooms are not the greatest, but to disrupt the pilot while he's FLYING??? Unreal!

Maybe Dave needs to go on a "hiatus" again.
