After being moved from the "extra room seat" she paid for to a standard one, she launched into a tirade of over 30 tweets, insulting the company and the flight attendants.

The poor polemicist… we just hope she was able to find some support among her fans who have been taught always to side with the financial goals of corporations over common decency.

The man behind the controversy speaks…

On April 9, the world was shocked when Dr. David Dao was forcibly dragged off an overbooked United Airlines flight from Chicago to Louisville after he refused to give up his seat. Video of the incident went viral and sparked worldwide outrage.

Later that month, the airline and the 69-year-old reached an "amicable settlement."

Fast forward to Friday, David gave his first full interview to DailyMail.com where he opens up about the humiliating event, and how he's doing ever since the bloody altercation.

Unfortunately, the Kentucky-native has no recollection of what happened, and is still recovering from his physical ailments, including two lost front teeth, a broken nose, and a concussion. The MD also fears he has permanent brain damage.

Ever since United Airlines had a passenger brutally beaten and dragged off the "overbooked" plane to make room for their own personnel, they've been in PR hell.

So now they're doing everything they can to make sure an incident like the one with Dr. David Dao never happens again.

One step they've taken is a no-brainer: separating out the passengers with "flexible" travel plans who won't fight back if they're bumped.

United Airlines Changes Its Overbooking Policy!

United Airlines changes its overbooking policy.

Little by little, they're making progress.

It was announced Friday that United Airlines has made changes to its overbooking policy as it relates to employees.

Now, a passenger can only be removed to accommodate a United crew member if it's absolutely imperative that the crew member make the flight in order to work another flight AND if the crew member arrives an hour before boarding.

In this way, passengers who have already been seated won't have to be removed. Instead, passengers might be kept from boarding at the gate or earlier.

TMZ reports there have also been some emails being exchanged today between higher-ups.

In one email, a Senior VP of In-Flight Service wrote:

United Releases ANOTHER Apology Following David Dao's Press Conference: 'We Remain Steadfast In Our Commitment To Make This Right'

United Airlines is like, really, really sorry, you guys.

As you know, David Dao's legal reps and daughter, Crystal Pepper, held a lengthy press conference on Thursday addressing the doctor's plan of action after he was violently dragged off an overbooked flight on Sunday — and basically, a huge lawsuit is headed the defamed airline's way sooner rather than later.

In response to Thursday's media frenzy, the company released yet ANOTHER public statement apologizing for everything that went down, while summarizing the steps they're gonna take to get their shit together.

Interestingly, at the end of the message, United claims "CEO Oscar Munoz and the company called Dr. Dao on numerous occasions to express our heartfelt and deepest apologies" — which Dao's lawyer adamantly denied ever happening in the presser early today.

United Airlines should probably start gearing up for a legal battle against the doctor, who was violently dragged off an overbooked flight on Sunday.

On Thursday, the injured traveler's legal reps held a press conference with his daughter, Crystal Pepper, and renowned aviation lawyer, Tom Demetrio, and corporate law specialist, Stephen Golan, present to address Dao's next steps following the controversial incident.
