Richard Linklater Demands The Stage As He Wins The Critics' Choice Award For Best Director!

And just like that, one of the biggest awards at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards is gone!

But that's only because Richard Linklater won it!

The man behind Boyhood won the award for Best Director, and we have to say, none of the other pieces could really compare to his 12-year project.

It's seriously one of a kind!

To win the honor, Richard beat out Wes Anderson for The Grand Budapest Hotel, Ava DuVernay for Selma, David Fincher for Gone Girl, Alejandro G. Inarritu for Birdman, and Angelina Jolie for Unbroken.

Congrats again, Richard!

Ch-ch-check out his unjustly rushed acceptance speech (above)!!!

What a GREAT night for Richard Linklater!

The fabulous Richard won Best Director at the Golden Globe Awards for the much celebrated Boyhood.

Considering the film took 12 years to make, we think the win is more than well-deserved!!!

Linklater beat out the amazing Wes Anderson, Ava DuVernay, David Fincher, and Alejandro González Iñárritu for the coveted awards.

It's a fantastic evening for Boyhood — earlier in the evening Patricia Arquette won Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film.

Congrats, Richard!!

She was not offended! In fact she was flattered!

Gone Girl became one of the hottest films when it was released, and a lot of that had to do with how the director David Fincher showed the media fallout that happened after *SPOILER*

Beauty Realness!! Gone Girl's Rosamund Pike Takes Her Face Off For The Cover Of W!

rosamund pike w magazine

Finally! Something different on a magazine cover!

We've seen enough simple portrait and three-quarter body shots on magazines to last us a lifetime and beyond, so it's refreshing to see a glossy take a novel approach to the portrayal of its cover stars, like W did with actress Rosamund Pike for the May issue.

The Gone Girl star was shot by director David Fincher for the front of the mag, which features half her face fully made-up while she uses a wash cloth to wipe all that slop off the other half.

This will stand out on newsstands for sure! And it's pretty subversive for a beauty issue!

The spread, however, is far more traditional, but still haunting, as it features the 35-year-old in an isolated setting wearing all-black outfits.

It just so happens to fit the dark mood of the movie perfectly!

Check out the full spread and a second cover in the gallery (below)!

Christian Bale Is David Fincher's Choice To Play Steve Jobs In Biopic! We Give This iDea A Huge App…lause!

1bruce wayne and lucius fox the dark knight 2015109 1024 683

This is the Steve Jobs casting choice that Gotham deserves!

In an AH-Mazing bit of news, director David Fincher has reportedly said he'd only direct the Aaron Sorkin-written Jobs biopic if Christian Bale decided to play that American who hustled to create and lead Apple to its golden age!

No word yet on whether Christian would accept the part, but look at him! He looks exactly like him! You don't need to be in the genius bar to see the resemblance!

Likewise, Sony has not commented nor has producer Mark Gordon's company responded to this story.

CLINK. CLINK. Wait, what's that sound? Oh, that's just the noise of dozens of Oscars preemptively falling from the sky for this project!

We hope Christian takes the Job….s.
