It's about time!

When we first heard about the supposed Twin Peaks reboot being made for Showtime back in October 2014 we were absolutely filled with nostalgic joy.

However, as the months dragged on, we started hearing terrifying stories of behind-the-scenes issues which culminated in the project being put on hold indefinitely!

Well luckily the premium cable network came to their senses and reattached David Lynch to the third season of his former CBS serial drama, and on Friday we were finally treated to a teaser for the limited series confirming that Twin Peaks 2.0 is officially in production.

We don't learn too much from the clip, but it definitely has the same feeling as the original show — which aired from 1990-1991 — so we could not be more excited!

Apparently "I'll see you again in 25 years" doesn't mean anything anymore.

The Twin Peaks revival series, originally slated to premiere in 2016 — exactly 25 years after the final season left off in 1991 — has been delayed.

What a big disappointment to fans, who were coffee-teased with the news months ago!

It has been a roller coaster of emotion since the revival of Twin Peaks was announced. Last week, co-creator David Lynch dropped out of directing all nine episodes due to budget negotiations.
