david o russell charges dropped

We REALLY hope this is the last time we hear about David engaging in such deplorable behavior!

Earlier today, we heard that The Fighter director David O. Russell was questioned by police for feeling up his pre-op transgender relative Nicholas Peloquin.

Now, a rep for the Broward County Sheriff's Office in Florida has announced that David won't be charged with anything over the incident.

Here's why he'll get off the hook, according to the rep:

david o russell felt up transgender relative

Yuck.

According to a police report, The Fighter director David O. Russell was NOT behaving appropriately with his pre-op transgender relative Nicholas Peloquin last week.

As it goes, David was working out at a Florida hotel gym with his mother's 19-year-old adopted brother, when he offered to help Nicholas "with ab exercises."

While doing so, David's hand

Eh! We weren't really feeling him for this, so no great loss!

Bradley Cooper had reportedly signed up for the title role in director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's remake of The Crow, but apparently now, he has dropped the project due to a prior scheduling conflict, and will now instead appear in David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook and the upcoming adaptation of Paradise Lost!

Director David O. Russell Testing Actresses For Follow-Up To The Fighter

david o russell testing actresses for fighter follow up

Back in March, we first heard about the possibility of a sequel to Oscar-winning film The Fighter, and we didn't think it was a good idea.

As we said back then, we think that The Fighter was a wonderful film, with fantastic performances, and we don't want them to ruin the integrity of the original by sequelizing it.

Fortunately, it looks like they're not making a direct sequel right now, but director David O. Russell has

Fright Night Team To Bring Us Pride And Prejudice And Zombies!

pride and prejudice and zombies in the works again

We haven't heard anything about the film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for quite some time, but now it looks like wheels are moving again!

We've just learned that Fright Night writing/directing team Marti Noxon and Craig Gillespie will be teaming up once again for Zombies.

The Fighter director David O. Russell wrote the script before leaving the project, and now Noxon will rework it before they move forward with production.

For those of you who haven't read the book, the story "retells Jane Austen’s classic tale about the romance between the independent Elizabeth Bennet and the snooty Mr. Darcy"…but there are zombies involved.

Sounds like it'll be a while before this movie actually starts production, but we'll keep our eyes peeled! Should def be a fun flick!

Are U excited to hear that wheels are moving once again on Pride and Prejudice and Zombies?

David O. Russell Wants Britney Spears To Work With Him??!

David O Wants Brit

The Oscar-nominated director has auditioned Brit Brit before - oddly enough, for Naomi Watts' role in I <3 Huckabees - and even though he hasn't found anything right for her yet, he still would love to work with her!

So when he was asked who he wanted to work with in the future, he said matter-of-factly: "Britney."

Here's the rest of what he went on to say:

"I think Britney could be great in a lot of different things, and I'm a huge fan of hers. And I actually auditioned her for a couple things… Used in the right way, I think she could be (great)… I'm a believer… I mean, Britney (the audition) was several years ago, for another movie… I think she's a great entertainer… Yeah, I'm rooting for her."

Wow! We had no idea he was such a fan!

Maybe they can get a Crossroad 2: The Detour off the ground! Ha!

But in all seriousness, we think that David O. Russell would be able to get a great performance out of Brit!

Let's see it happen!

Christopher Nolan Is Snubbed By The Academy Awards AGAIN!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooFilm FlickersAwardz

Understandable! If we were to give one complaint about the nominations, this would definitely be it!

Out of all the just-announced Academy Award nominations, it seems that the most backlash seems to be coming from Inception director Christopher Nolan's omission from the category of 'Best Director!'

While he was on the list of nominees - alongside Darren Aronofsky, David Fincher, David O. Russell, and Tom Hooper - for the 2011 Directors Guild of America, he is the ONLY one who didn't pick up an Academy Award nomination, instead being replaced by Joel and Ethan Coen!

And this is the THIRD time it's happened - he was previously nominated by the DGA for Memento and The Dark Knight, but snubbed when the Oscar nominations came around!

What gives?!

We think that given the consistently innovative and original material he produces, he deserves his name on that list! It's more than about time, guys!

Thoughts??
