Alexander Skarsgard To Bang His Sexy Chest As Tarzan?!

alexander-skarsgard-tarzan-lead.jpg

Oh please please PLEASE!

Although nothing is confirmed, we hear sexy True Blood vamper Alexander Skarsgard is the lead choice to play the title role in David Yates' Tarzan!

Now, don't confuse ASkars' Tarzan with Kellan Lutz's upcoming portrayal of Tarzan

Apparently the films will be VERY different beasts (in more ways than one!), with Kellan's being more of a light, comedic romp, and Alex's being more

Dr. Who Is Coming To The Big Screen!

doc-who.jpg

We know this show has quite a huge fan following, so we are not going to surprised if this news excites more than a few of you.

Doctor Who fans are getting some pretty exceptional news today. A long awaited big screen adaptation of the hit UK show is finally in the works. The famed series ran from 1963 to 1989, but has since made a comeback due to the rebooted 2005. Apparently, it was a better homage to the original than the new Charlie's Angels was.

Anyway, the GREAT news is that producers at BBC aren't taking any chances with this one. They've called in a heavy-weight director to helm the project, someone who knows all too well about direction a fan-frazed film. David Yates, who has a few Harry Potter movies under his belt, will take on the project, but warns that his team is really going to take its time into transitioning the beloved series to the screen. There will be no half-assing this, but that means it could take awhile.

Well, do you want it fast or do you want it done right?! LOLz! We're sure it will be worth the wait.

A Night Frankenstein At The Museum! Shawn Levy To Direct New Frankie Flick

shawn levy directing frankenstein movie

There are SO many Frankenstein projects in the works, we can't even keep track anymore!

We're not particularly enthused to announce that A Night at the Museum director Shawn Levy has just signed on to direct a new Frankenstein movie for Fox.

Other directors who were in the running included Bourne director Paul Greengrass and Harry Potter director David Yates, but in the end Shawn Levy seemed like he'd make the studio the most money be the best candidate.

Does this mean that you'll no longer be directing Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, Shawn???

What do U think? Is the Night at the Museum director the right guy for Frankenstein?

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part I To Be Released In 2D ONLY!

harry potter and the deathly hallows part I to be released in 2d only

We cannot express enough how impressed we are with you, Warner Bros!

Warner planned to release Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I in 3D, but because they couldn't get a quality 3D conversion done by the release date, they've decided to release the film solely in 2D.

Given the fact that Warner was responsible for releasing the poorly executed 3D release of Clash of the Titans, we are ecstatic that they learned their lesson and won't make the same mistake twice! It's refreshing to hear.

Here's the statement Warner Bros released regarding the loss of Harry Potter's 3rd dimension:

Warner Bros Pictures has made the decision to release Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 in 2D, in both conventional and IMAX theaters, as we will not have a completed 3D version of the film within our release date window. Despite everyone’s best efforts, we were unable to convert the film in its entirety and meet the highest standards of quality. We do not want to disappoint fans who have long-anticipated the conclusion of this extraordinary journey, and to that end, we are releasing our film day-and-date on November 19, 2010 as planned. We, in alignment with our filmmakers, believe this is the best course to take in order to ensure that our audiences enjoy the consummate “Harry Potter” experience.

Producer David Heyman said, “For 10 years, we have worked alongside Alan Horn and the studio, whose priority has always been to preserve the integrity of Jo Rowling’s books as we have adapted them to the screen, and this decision reflects that commitment.”

Director David Yates continued, “This decision, which we completely support, underscores the fact that Warner Bros. has always put quality first.”

As scheduled, on July 15, 2011, we will deliver to conventional and IMAX theaters our final installment of the film franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, in both 2D and 3D formats.

We are proud of U for having integrity, Warner!

How do U feel about the next Harry Potter being released solely in 2D?
