Planned Parenthood Fights Back After Donald Trump Says The Organization Can Keep Federal Funding If It Stops Providing Abortions
Donald Trump has informally proposed that federal funding for Planned Parenthood can stay, as long as the organization stops providing abortions.
Needless to say, the reproductive health services nonprofit has responded with a big ol' NOPE — as it is not willing to "abandon our patients and our values."
That sounds like a lesson Drumpf could learn from!
According to the NY Times, PP Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens said in a statement:
"Let's be clear: Federal funds already do not pay for abortions. Offering money to Planned Parenthood to abandon our patients and our values is not a deal that we will ever accept. Providing critical health care services for millions of American women is nonnegotiable."
