Couric Offered 60 Minutes

We all know that Katie Couric's contract is up here in a little bit, and that apparently everyone and their mother wants the news anchor to be a part of their team (and rightly so, she's FAB at what she does!).

The first major offer we've heard is coming from those over at 60 Minutes!

She's been offered a position as a regular correspondent on the famous Sunday night show, as long as she stays and does a daytime talk show for CBS as well.

Nobody has said if she's even considering the deal, but we think she'd be crazy to take the first thing to come along and not see what else people are willing to offer!

Still, congrats on the offer, Katie!!

Would U like Katie on 60 Minutes??

What on EFFING Earth?!

Check out this BIZARRE but pretty HIGHlarious clip of Sally Jessy Raphael - yes, HER - parodying Jersey Shore as Sally J, along with her hubby, K-Woww (above)!

Apparently, this is a teaser for the former daytime talk show host's new "mockusoap" comedy show, I'm Still Sally!

We can only imagine what other shows gurlfriend is going to be inserting herself into!

Welcome back, bb!

The View Gets Presidential!

President Barack Obama will appear on The View this Thursday making him the first time a sitting United States president will visit a daytime talk show.

Barbara Walters will be back on the show for the first time since undergoing open heart surgery in May.

The two of them along with the rest of the gals will have a political discussion about his administration accomplishments, jobs, the economy, the Gulf oil spill and his family life.

Barbara says:

"We are so pleased and honored that President Obama will be a guest on The View. The President last appeared on the program in March 2008 while he was still a Senator, and First Lady Michelle Obama was a featured guest co-host in June 2008. This shows that both the President and First Lady feel that our show is an influential and important source of information and news."

The show will be pre-taped on Wednesday to air on Thursday.

We wonder if Elizabitch will be up to her usual shenanigans in front of the President!

Will U be tuning in?

Jenny McCarthy The Next Daytime Diva?!

She's getting a hell of a start!

A spokesperson for Harpo Productions confirmed that Oprah Winfrey is looking to give Jenny McCarthy her own talk show!

The development deal is still in the early stages, but the spokeswoman for Harpo said the pair are "exploring possibilities across a number of platforms."

We hear Jenny is slated to have a talk show similarly formatted to Oprah's, but there is no word yet whether the show will air on another network or Oprah's own OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network.)

She certainly is an interesting choice for a host. Hopefully, the deal comes through for her! We think she could do a lot of good with a platform like this!
